Here is a sneak peak at what the headers will sound like. i copied this from another thread. Also note that there is a JHM car with their catback on it aswell. Also note the cars in this video do not have resonators.
Thanks matt@JHM for sharing this video. Also would like to thank the whole JHM crew that has stepped up to bring us the performance we crave. Also like to thank the guys at VAST also.
Oh wow.... that last clip of the Noggy Avant pulling away.... !
yeah, time and additional videos w/ various setups will help generate a better understanding of the sound
More videos will follow, along with mroe data on the headers im sure of it. Jay wont leave us hanging. Once he has everything ready to go im sure he will make a offical release thread. We just have to wait it out, but in the mean time that video was just a teaser.
I'm sorry I don't have anything real important to add I just wanted to comment on how many times I keep watching the video. Its always good to see a B6 keep pace with our older more well known brother. But its not that its the last part where he just nails it and the FKN car is just gone.

AMA and YES! Together we can all defeat 2.0t and 2.7t crime...
And lastly for the grammar police that are bound to step in
I came here from Germany in the 6th grade. I could not read or write a lick of English. I am working to get better. Thanks and sorry. I always try to edit my posts for the best grammar and easiest reading.
Just want to comment on how nice those headers look.
Looks to be a VERY promising product as the b6/b7 really needed this option. I read earlier in the thread someone mentioned these may give 30-40 hp and someone else saying that their on crack...well I must be on crack too because I know what long tube headers can do on V8 cars with crappy log style manifolds from the factory. If someone gets the blower and these headers these B6/B7's may actually get scary fast for a 4000lb pig.
So, what exactly is JHMotorsports working on for our cars right now? I've heard about:
1. light weight rotors
2. intake spacers
3. intake bypass
4. long tube headers
5. piggies
6. Catback
7. ECU Tuning
8. Transmission (Auto) tuning
9. nitrous
10. internals (cams, pistons)
11. what else????????
Also, what should be combined to save on labor costs?
I can't wait to start beating up on the chipped bimmer 3's!!
Personally, I already have the front light weight rotors and the intake bypass. I'm thinking about replacing my LaBree DP's with the long tube headers (especially if I leave SoCal), dumping my GIAC tune in favor of Jay's tune, getting the tune for my slushbox, replacing the cams (maybe at the same time that the engine is pulled for the headers if the cams are available) and running a 150 shot of nitrous (after a lot more research and proven reliability). Again, I can't wait to beat up on the Vishnu propeller heads! High 11's, here we come!

In the video where the red s4 just pulls away, ill give you a hint that silver car was fully on it giving it all he had. And when you see them side by side, the red car was letting off and then giving it gas before he actually hit it to take off. That silver car is not slow by any means and actually pulls pretty good.

When will all this stuff be available i cant wait any longer my wallet is falling out of my ass!!!!
There is a few items ready to go, and alot other that will be ready once testing is done. JHM takes time to test their products and just doesnt rush the product into production. They take the time to do the research to make sure it will perform to JHM standards. And if it doesnt they will redesign it or scratch it all together if the results are not to their liking. Hope this helps to give you an idea on why some products take a some time to actually make it to production.

Shit, even taking that in consideration they manage to bang these thing together in months time. Everything that they've promised to work on has been or will be released. Not to even mention how much they stand behind their products!
I'm very interested in the headers, but I'd probably need to go with a resonated cat back with some hefty mufflers - I'm not big on the really loud stuff.

Yeha they do get these products out in a fair amount of time. JHM does a really good job standing by the products the make. How many companies would offer a free trade in for a shifter they made? Not many thats forsure. JHM does a great job and has really good customer service too.

There should be videos with resonated exhaust in the near future. Also the car in the video doesnt have cats which will make it alot louder.
Shouldn't need one. I'm pretty sure the RS4 has real headers from the factory not the crappy log manifold.
According to the Audi materials the RS4 has what they refer to as a fan type manifold. Each port has it's own tube which is part of a y-pipe that brings two ports to a single pipe. Each two port single pipe is then mated to a collection at the pre-cat. So 4 > 2 > 1 I assume they optimized the firing order and length of the tubes to reduce exhaust pulse interference.
Short answer is that it's not a long tube header nor is it a log type manifold.

well they are alot better then our manifolds. So a good set of long tubes would probally give the rs4 some good power too.
