Ok, so most of you may know i broke something bigtime on the way home from the fall show and go in NJ last fall. After waiting all winter only to realize show season starts in a month i decided its time to get started. A few days ago i had a few buddys help me push the turd from my warehouse [the winter storage spot] to the shop where the lift is. we got the car into the shop, up on ramps, and finally onto the lift. it sat for a week. i went over last night after work, anf with the help of a few buddys again we have it ready to be pulled[ just have to unbolt from the trans and the front motor mounts. I will prob pull it this week. then its getting stripped totaly down to asses the damage. i plan on fully building the head, powdercoating everything i can get my hands on, hot tanking the block, hopefully i wont need to do rods or pistons, and fully scrubbing the engine bay, as well as removing anything not needed.Tapp software will be installed soon, along with 630 injectors. pictures to follow.

it looks like a mess right now. about an hour into it i kinda freaked out because everything is ripped out, wires hanging, fluids dripping. but, i took a step back, took a few deep breaths and soldiered on. should be fun, and expensive. Don, you may need to leed me to some good places to get deals on some parts. i plan on doing a billet fuel rail with all AN shadow fittings. no more pollished shit under the hood. from now on powdercoating is the way im going. easier to keep clean. this time around it will be fast. i still plan on showing it, but it really needs to be fast.

Looked good when I seen in at Fall Show and Go last year. I can imagine it's hard to maintain that look.

Did i read that you were not installing rods? I think you should reconsider. I have a bent aeb rod from a gt2871r elim on tapp tune.

the bottom end is already built, 2.0. hopefully nothing is wrong down there. the head needs help. we will see

lol...................... that was a great ride home. that was only 12 lbs on a shitty tune with 550's. hopefully 20ish lbs,630's and a proper tune will help a bit

went to tractor supply last night and picked up a brand spanking new engine stand. looks like i will be doing more on sunday. cleaning the shop a bit so i have room to work, pulling the motor, and hopefully strip down the motor. i need to get a parts list together. the only bad part is with my work schedual i dont have as much time as i would like to do work, i need to make the most of my time.

ok, so i went over to the shop and we ripped the engine out of the pig. we got it on the engine stand [big pain in the ass] and notice some metal shavings in the intake mani. we removed the mani and noticed the valves in cylinder two [the second one back from the front] did not look real good. we took the plug out.

not a good start.

while i was taking pics my buddy said ''wow, you should see this piston''. i could get a clear shot but it looks like a grenade went off in the cylinder. the valve seats are gone. the head is totaly trashed. i would imagine the bottom end is toast as well. looks like i will be getting an entirely new motor. shis is gonna hurt the wallet.
