    FWIW every time this is asked the response will be to go read and learn how to do it yourself. There are a couple of stage 1/2/3 files floating around but it's not recommended to just flash them blindly without knowing what has been changed.

    I think this thread should be locked now as there is a site that has all the information and answers that this thread would. This thread will just turn into a "feed me" thread.

    Agreed, even months back, this thread had everything you needed to get started. If that was too much to piece together, self tuning is not for you.

    When bench flash using galetto cable in Boot mode, What do you do to mimmick the ignition switch after the flash is done. It says turn off ignition but when I power off the power supply it just messes up. Is there another way to mimmick the ignition switch? thanks in advance

    Energize the pin directly below the K-line pin with +12V. But I don't see what can mess up if you have done the flash already; ie. shouldn't be anything wrong with switching off/on power supply.

    I just switch power off to everything, including all ECU pins and cable and turn it back on.

    I do... I just mimmick the ign, I don't turn it all off. But I don't see how turning it all off would screw anything up since the flash has been written to the ECU already.

    I've been doing some searching the past few days and uncovered all the great info you all have provided.. I Remeber all the freedom I had when I was tuning my suby with my utec..

    After all the reading I didn't see much love on the me 7.1.1 anywhere.. I have it in my b6 s4... Any threads out there relating to the 4.2 v8 motor and the me7.1.1?

    I haven't messed with any b6 s4's but I thought that they were me7.5
    You really would just need a definition file for you bin. and a checksum tool then you could go crazy.
    The only threads i've seen on the b6 s4 were on nefmoto, and they didn't get very far.

    Sorry your right ... I was reading all day on the the whole process from the b5 and that was the first thing that popped into my head..

    Thanks for the heads up I'm going to grab the def file for the .bin and see what I can do with the checksum tool over the weekend..
