15gig for a vmware image is what a typical desktop system would take. It is a computer all neatly wrapped up in a vmware instance

I have this program on a few disks. Mine is the full dealership factory software - it even asks for me to put in my dealership information.

As soon as I put in the Vin the car is selected with your options and I have the full repair manual for VW, Audi and Skoda.

As another posted said. Repair manuals - part numbers diagrams. all quite helpful.

I have used it for my B6 S4, my C5 A6 and a few VWs here at work.

Between this and VAG-Com - it has a lot of information. My only issue was getting ELSAWIN to work properly on my compter - sort of like this issues of getting the correct virtual com port assigned for VAG-COM - I have had it on the same laptop for 3 years and just use the laptop for this and VAG-Com.

You have to use a different iso reader. It won't work with winrar or a few other programs. I believe you want to try poweriso.

I find the big problem with the Bently manual , is that it's rather skimpy on info . It tells you to remove a part for a repair but makes no mention of the three other parts you need to remove first.

and the fact that the Bentley software is buggy as hell, whether on Vista or not. Still can't print, useless customer support.....

Got it working in windows xp. FYI this is the original 13GB torrent listed.



A few things to note. I mounted everything with poweriso as I had read that daemon tools and winrar don't work so well with these isos for some reason.

First install the program from CD1 and then you install the "data" DVDs. In this case you only really need DVD1 since that is Audi. DVD2 is Seat, DVD3 is Skoda & DVD4/5 are VW.

DVD1 is shown as "2008-004" and has the R8, so it's pretty recent.

Going through the installation of CD1 I selected the third option (forgot the name) for something like Repair Manual + ___ + ____. Then I selected Apos rather than Apos/2 or AposPro (no idea what these meant but it worked for me).

After installing CD1 and DVD1 open ElsaWin (admin/admin) and it's in German even though you selected English during the install! To fix this you go to Einstellungen and then the second option. There you can choose English.

The default username/password is admin/admin. You'll need to go in to "ElsaWin Administration" and create another username with administrator rights to view the repair manual and everything else. For some reason admin can't do anything with the repair manual and all that.

You can see the options I used at the bottom. VIN didn't work so I just did it by engine code and transmission code after the Audi, 2006, A4 part. Just guessed the transmission code as I only found that listed for B6s. Close enough I guess.

Think I got everything. Let me know if y'all want help.

I think we're talking about different downloads. I never tried to download the VM image. I work with VMWare plenty and I don't want to install VMWare player on my computer I just installed ELSA & ETKA on my laptop. Seems more useful having it there with vag-com and everything.

I believe you have to be a shop in order to purchase it. Could be wrong.

And for those who don't know, Elsa/ETKA is not same as Bentley Manual. Bentley is just that - a manual. Elsa/ETKA contains full factory manual, repair procedures, parts list etc...

Yea, I agree. Look at the various things you can do, this is meant to tie to a central server with work orders and to a remote server that can look up VIN numbers and everything. I'll post a screen shot of all of the available functions later. There's a lot of stuff.

For some reason I cannot download from the tracker, i can see the number of seeders & leechers, but there isn't any incoming or outgoing traffic.

Is it because it is a "private" torrent? thats what it says on the info.

Yep, I searched on isohunt and got more trackers for that same torrent. You do need to use the info in the crack directory...forgot about that. It gives you an initial key and then you use the keygen for the provisional code to finish the install.

All you need is DVD 1 + CD 1. Total download size is less than 5 GB. Totally recommend this to everybody. Wow...just imagine what i can do with this....

Has anyone been able to get wiring diagrams out of this? I can only find the component locations but not diagrams.

Also, this does not seem to contain any info about in depth repair procedures.

So far the Bentley manual seems far better for wiring diagrams and repair procedures.

I'm looking at the 2000 A4 and S4.

Had the tracker problem as well, as mentioned above just go to intertracker.org, register for their forum, and do a torrent search for "elsawin" and the torrent will pop up and tracker problem is solved. google translate is great if you need some help navigating through the german

Just a heads up ELSA...doesnt support 64bit (vista 64bit) operating systems. I learned the hard way have this running on my 32bit vista in the garage(makes more sense to have it there anyways).
