Predictions for VF Supercharger

if these are facts than you can please show us some real life proof. which oviously there is NONE because they are not true.

FACTS are that the lighter does not always mean it can outperform a heavier car. a kia rio can not out handle an rs4 and even $1000 dollar coilover still would not get it close.
just like the RS4, your motor sits right in between the headlights and is prone to understeering just like the rest of our cars. only difference is that the RS4 has a power bias of 40:60 thus sending more power to the rear thus reducing understeer and actually making your statement completely FALSE. Just because the A4 has a stiffer suspension does not exactly make it a better handling car.

Also, please do not assume just because their is a 4.2 liter V8 shoehorned up front that the car is a lot nose heavier than your a4, because unlike your iron block, heavy 4 cylinder, the rs4 has an advanced, lightweight all aluminum v8 that closes the weight gap between the two alot more than you think which is another reason an rs4 or even an s4 costs more than your run of the mill a4.

and if you think your car produces anywhere from 340-380 whp, you seriously have not a clue of how these things work. for one, you have an automatic car, the drivetrain loss on an auto/awd car is much greater than that on a manual/awd. you are looking at upwards of a 25% loss. I'll bet you are around 280-290 TOPS. another thing is that you can not rate your own hp figure by comparing company dynos. APR has their own influence on their dyno in order to make their product seem like it is making the power that they claim. they are the only ones adjusting load settings and figures on the dyno in order to get what you see on their website. I am not pointing out APR specifically since many companies do this and (not to open a can of worms) but I'm sure VF had a little say in their dyno settings in order to get the numbers they achieved with the s/c S4. Also, out of all the big turbo kits out their, APR has the least aggressive tune of all. So expect to make less total power than the kits AWE, VF, and VAST have on the market.

Another fact that i would like to state, since you obviously have a thing for facts, is that you can talk down about RS4's and S4's and this and that, but in the end (and not to put down any A4 owners) it is still and A4, and this is still the B6/B7 S4 and RS4 forum. if i had to compare this situation to any, you are basically an srt-4 owner with 600 whp, and even though your srt-4 is faster than my viper, it is still a Neon, and I still own a viper. Amen.

i would do it at SnG id I had a car. Blew the clutch a month ago and I'm waiting for Jay@JHM to put me a nice kit together. All i have now is a 140 hp mk2 gti and that just wouldnt be fair

I love the RS4 and its my favorite car but the facts are the facts. An A4 with coilovers puts an RS4 to shame on the track its lighter and that's the key fact so its not only in straight line performance were the A4 is better.

You say an a4 with coilovers will beat a rs4 around the track ??? so let me get this straight the audi engineers who designed the rs4 for street/race purpouses are idiots and the rs4 stock suspension sucks and a a4 that was made for street driving , just by changing the suspension setting will outrun a rs4 around a track. Dont forget that the rs4 has a wider track, better tires, thicker sway bar and not to say excellent suspension, also if you consider that the rs4 puts 60 percent of its power to the rear wheels and 40 to the front, as for the a4 which understeers badly puts down 50/50!!! let me tell you pall the rs4 weighs 3,704 lbs and the a4 2.0T quattro tiptronic weighs 3660 thats not really a big difference, to be exact it would be the exact same thing as having my 6 year old nephew in the front seat which let me tell you i cant feel a difference!!

There are plenty of heavily modded A4's that can beat the RS4 around a track. Stock vs. Stock no comparison, but you can modify an A4 to do that. Regarding your 40:60 arguement, that ratio can easily be attained with a modified center diff.

Weight savings - dependent on how heavy the drivers are. Skill is skill at the end of the day...an A4 with a good driver can out run a RS4 around a track with an okay driver...same driver for both cars could possibly yield the same results
