    Your thoughts, Car comparisons...

I have owned my S4 since I took delivery of it in 2004, and honestly its been a great awesome car but the space inside is getting a tad tight. I have been thinking of trading in the S4 and getting a car with a tad more room space to breathe. My options on board are as follows:

    2009 M35x or 2003 Audi RS6.

What do you guys think of these choices? Opinions please. Thank you.

I almost grabbed an 03 RS6 until I checked out the maintenance requirements, aka removal of the engine to change spark plugs and timing belts every 40,000 miles...I know our German machines arent cheap, but DAMN that would cost A LOT!!

+1 based on comments Ive seen in the A6 forum.

M35x for value and tech, or 535Xi for the engine and handling

We our on our fourth Infiniti and they are pretty bullet proof when it comes to maintenance and reliability. Typical of the Japanese cars - go with the Infiniti.

x2 Those cars are very gorgeous inside and out. Too classy for me though. I love speed/performance and some class. RS6 definately is a high maintenance bitch. If you have the money to spend and luv performance, get the RS6. You will have no regrets.

S6, it's got plenty of room to spare and a big ol' lambo V10 under the hood!

why the M35x? you haven't explained that choice yet.

I'd personally have a hard time buying an Infiniti when there's a Lexus product available (GS 350 AWD) within $2000.

the Lexus has better mileage, better reliability, is better looking, better quality, WAY better service levels, better resale, better performance (the GS outperforms the V8 M45 actually)

    Can't go wrong can you?

    Re: Your thoughts, Car comparisons...

Well I live in the Northeast, so AWD would be nice when the weather turns for the worst.

I chose the RS6 because I recently found one local to me thats clean with low miles, and I found a company through AoA that will warranty the car, of course minus the servicing. Its also bigger than the S4 room wise.

The M35x because I always had good experiences with Infiniti and I always loved the M35x, Again also roomier than the S4.

The cost in price between the both are apparently not far off from each other. Of course after some thought, new is new. But its a damn RS6 !

I never really liked the new GS models, it was always wierd looking for me body wise.

I'd take the RS6 over that Infiniti in an instant.

I'd get a larger Lexus sedan for similar reasons because the m35 isn't very big inside anyways.

maintenance is bad, but not that bad. The motor does NOT come out for spark plugs or timing belt(bumper, rad support in service mode for that one), but for plugs lost stuff from the top need to come off
