Salvage/Junk yards?

So I've been looking for salvage yards that carry audi's but all of them seem to be on the east coast. Which sucks because it would cost just as much as the part itself to ship it.

Are there any closer salvage or junk yards in socal or even the west coast? i'd really be down to snag some used parts for cheap

ugh, i feel you. ive gone to some of the ones here in Socal.... no luck, it usually POS jap cars... im curious to know if there are any here in SoCal too

ya totally dude! I was curious as to how much getting a pre-facelift hatch would be for my b5 and through Shokan the shipping was more than the part it self. boo to shipping

good luck with that pick-a-part, i've tried one out here in anaheim but it was primarily jap cars and a few vw's. let us know if the ontario one has some vag cars tho!

it'd be pretty cool to make a trip down there.
but before anything gets arranged i'd suggest we find out for sure that they have what we're looking for. it would be a major bust if we got there and all they had was an audi 5000

I heard that there is an area near the Irwindale Speedway that has alot of salvage yards. Many with Audi parts. I haven't verified it for myself though.

Ya, google their name, and the number and adress will pop up.. Only thing that suxs tho is that you cannot enter their yard, you have to call and order the parts.. they dismantle the car :(

That area is "Alpha Street." What's funny is it seems that whatever car you have... "There's an entire street next to Irwindale Speedway and they have tons of (insert name of whatever car you're modding) parts there" I have an old chevelle... people will tell me the yards there have parts... and when I was building a 5.0 mustang people told me the same thing. I know for certain I never saw anything earlier than 1990 in their yards... and no you can't walk around... you go to the desk and ask them if they got it. Seemed most of the yards were way overpriced. They have some crazy guerilla marketing scheme going on with "whatever part ya need we got!" stuff tho, haha

That's right. Alpha St. I'd rather go and pull the parts myself. It's more fun and I know that they didn't do anything to it before it got to me. Oh well.
