A new direction for the A4......again

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Look for the results of the build in the November 2009 Performance VW Magazine!

actually I am at it again...

    ************************************************** ******-
    12/6/08

Well Audizine, another summer is over and my A4 is back in the garage for some changes. What will 2009 bring?

    A LOT.

AND the good old DO IT YOURSELF WIDEBODY thread:
    http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=167388

The A4 has been such a fun car to drive and own, I want to continue modding it in a totally new way.

Last pictures taken in the "old setup"

So, I start to tear her apart again

    Winter is here in Minnesota

    Now with the plan

    Body:

I want to finish and fix some of the body work on my car. Simple as that. The car will see some clear coat, but will remain mostly matte. Black roof is being painted green yada yada. Nuff said there

    ENGINE:

Aside from the motor build and BAT the engine bay is going to be completely shaved. I can't freaking wait to get into doing this. Coolant reservoir delete, ABS delete, and all the necessary fluids will have small 5 ounce bottles on the back side of the firewall. Wire tuck is in the mix along with the EVAP delete. So much BS under our hoods. I am going to make it how I would've designed it lol. Also, lots of sheet metal and welding will give the bay a flowing clean look.

Alternator housing, coolant hard line, 034 coil cover, valve cover will all be powdercoated my secret color to match the cage and wheels. I am also custom making a intake manifold. So far its a nice piece

Oh speaking of wheels... I am putting together something custom using certain brands such as Kodiak, and AutoArt. That's all I am going to say about that

That's about all for now. I know I held back a lot of information, but that's how a build thread should be right?
    Happy modding

    6/4/09

    ================================================== ================================================== ==

9/29/09- Project is done! Wait til you see what is in store for next summer... the car is continuing to be a fun hobby and it will still be my little project even though I picked up a 2000 stage 3 B5 S4!

OK so here is a shoot from H20 2009... BIG Thanks to :: 3M0Rt4L :: for doing the shoot!

    FULL SHOOT on page 14

What bottles will you be using for the fluids? And are you relocating the battery to make room for them?

Yes the battery is going to the trunk along with the nitrous bottles and water/meth pump & bottle.

I have not decided which bottles to get yet.

I trashed my C pillars by accident when they were laying on the garage floor....so they are ruined. I do have A pillars however. Probably will sell them with the gauge pod attached. LMK

Yea I don't think this could be done without a heater place to work. My garage is not heated (just froze my ass off installing my front plate). I will be doing all the work up at A&P
