My 2nd B5 Project! "Evolet"

My name is Marcus, I live in Sweden and I just love Audis, especially the B5´s.
I bought my car in June -08 and in July I was turning 18 and would be on my way to the drivers license. So I had a couple of things to do in a bit of a rush.

The first thing I did was to wash it, change front and rear lights, the grill and rims. And the same evening it was a different car. :)




But I had bigger plans, and the driving license were closing in on me with huge steps!
So I orderd a Rieger RS4 front bumper and a OEM S4 rear bumper, I also had a trunk on my other A4 that I had modified to CSL-style.




Ooops




And just a pair of days before I got my license the car was finished on the outside for the moment! Perfect first car :)




And now I´m doing things a little bit at a time because I use this car everyday.

FMIC will soon be mounted.


The seats, really like the model, but I should have bought a seat with better quality.


I have to check the boost.




And the car died in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night..It was a fuse to the battery that was the cause..


New and fresh :)


And I saw that my manifold was broken, so I orderd a new one, for the original turbo, I will put up a picture when I get it.
I have a school project coming up so I will try to build a DTS.

thats funny cause i wish I could have a euro plate in the rear. It looks much cleaner on the trunk than these ugly plates we have in the states.

"green car" means the car is clean, no rust, no body damages, the paint is in very good condition.

Ah ok! Yes, it´s a very small bubble of rust in the fender and it looks like somone hit the roof with something, but hey, the cars a -96! :) If I can afford it I´ll paint it this summer, but I have to buy S4 side-skirts (don´t know the american word) before that ;)

Thank you! Not much happening now, i have a pretty bad economy right now when I'm still in school. And when the gas here costs about 10,24kr/litre thats about 1,24 USD for 0,26gallon..Not fun at all ;)

Haha! If something jumped out when I stood there and took the picture, I would had needed a change of pants ;) It was quite dark as you can se and about 1,30am ;)

your DV is fluttering... i cant remeber what causes that... i think the DV is backwards or you need a softer spring or something...

I've tried to mount both the old and new DV in both directions, and I run with the soft spring now.
And I have vacuum to..
Got any ideas?

They don't seem to have the lights in the store right now though.

I don't have that now, but I don't know if they worked before either (I installed these about an hour after I bought the car ).
It should not be a problem to have the fog lights because the leds at the bottom of the light is not used right now.

Coilovers is on the to do list so you know, but I have some things that need to be done before. I can say that it will be even cleaner than this, and I'm trying to find something more unique to do that won't ruin the car. This project won't stop for as long as I own the car, that's for sure! :)

I don't know what year yours is, but in my 2001.5, there is something called a "vacuum solenoid". A vac line runs from this solenoid to your DV. My solenoid went bad so I simply eliminated/bypassed it and ran my DV vac line directly to my IM... if that makes sense.

The solenoid is located directly under your IM... there should be two identical solenoids so be careful not to remove the one that controls your EGR valve (?).

Also try changing that vac line, but if you hold boost then that shouldn't be a problem.
