20's look the best but I agree with Blake that 19's are more functional for a daily driver. I am most likely going to get 19's as well but fighting not to get 20's.
A grip, unless he knows someone that can get him a good deal. I know when I purchased my DPE's, the HRE's were twice as much. I don't know if Blake wants his business all out there like that. I suggest you look up some HRE dealers and ask them. But one thing about the HRE's, they are pricey but real nice.
Like sevenstarz said, HRE's are very expensive, even if you know the right people. Sorry, but that's all I can say on a public forum. Let me know If you need the name of a good retailer in the LA area.

Yes, 19"s are the perfect size. 20"s you lose comfort for a d/d.
And you know this because you have them?? I doubt it. I have 18's, had 19's and have 20's on my DD. Aren't you rocking 17's? I can truly attest that it is a personal choice.
Once again, nice wheels Blake, looking forward to seeing them on your car. You're trend setting for this forum right now.

i think it's how thick of a sidewall you can go. he's running 19s with the s-line wheels. mines came with 18s and have a good amount of rubber.
with 20s, you'd pretty much be rocking rubberbands.. and you'd feel every bump.
i have 18" volks on my prelude, with 215/40/18 tires... which i thought was decent but nope, bent the living crap out of them, especially living in new england with potholes everywhere.
HRE built the rears too aggressive (ET28mm) so they were sent back to have the offset machined 5-7mm higher for a rub-free ride. Here's a quick shot I took on my iPhone while we had the car on the alignment rack to check the specs.

Here are some quick pictures one of my buddies at the shop took. Sorry, but it was raining today so full photoshoot will come when the weather dries up and the car is clean.
Fine tuning the alignment...
All set and ready to roll...
Time to take it out on the road to see how it drives...
Wish I had better pics but that's all he took. More coming very soon!

hey isnt that Sonic MS? ohhh that B8 A4 is ur car and you are from audizine. It's really nice to know member who lives near and goes to Sonic MS as well. You ordered the wheels from them?
Wow, car looks great. Looks like spacers in the front & rear will help push out your wheel for that flush fit, none the less - its fantasic. Your car looks soo classy in those driving damn pics...damn.
hali: I'm from Fresno (moved from San Jose a few years ago), but go to SonicMS in Mountain View for all my mods. They are the only ones I trust working on my car, so it's nothing for me to make the 2.5 hour drive up when I need some work done. Maybe I'll see you at the shop sometime.
Jack: The final specs are 19x8.5" ET38 (F) and ET33 (R). I should have gone with ET35 all around, but oh well.
Calabria: Thanks, but I'm happy with the fitment. When the suspension is compressed, the rear tires barely miss rubbing the fenders and sometimes I can hear the tires slightly rub the fender liner over HUGE dips or driveways, so it's about as flush as I'm comfortable with using on a daily driver. Also, I have a few mm of clearance in front to be able to turn the wheel a bit while going up driveways without the tire hitting the fender.
PESAPC: Thanks for providing your offsets for comparison! Can't wait to see how yours turns out.
turbo4s: I know PESAPC has his car tuned, but none of the major Audi tuners have released their chips as far as I know.

Very nice!!! What size tires are you running on with those wheels?
I'm running 245/35/19 Falken FK452's, which is close enough in rolling diameter. I thought the stock 255's were bulging a bit too much for 8.5's but might look ok with 9's.

“Being four-wheel drive, the Audi's the opposite of a barbeque, it's better when wet - but it's also very good in the dry. The handling is absolutely sublime. This is harnessed lunacy … that’s the thing about the Audi, the engine is a masterpiece, it really is, and it’s beautifully made and very safe.” -Jeremy Clarkson on the S4
