Went to A&M this morning and had some trouble. They did a nice install on my tires and everything but I had a bunch of change in my front ashtray and what do you know, the change is now gone. After confronting the counter guy (Rick), he went in the shop to ask if someone took my change, of course everyone denies it. I will not be giving these criminals any more of my business. I don't care about the change (0.40 or so) it's the principal of the matter that one of their "tire techs" took my change. Thank god I didn't leave my wallet in my car. Big for A&M, I recommend someone else.
The search for honest work continues...
This amazes me. I really can't believe that this could hapen?! I've left my purse in the car before and just sit in the waiting room with my phone to play games, etc. Though I doubt I'd notice if $.40 was missing. Sucks...sorry about your luck.

Man Cave almost complete. Foosball table in process of being re-veneered to match pool table and it will go in the dead floor space seen in front of Crosby in the second pic. Awesome space; it has more square footage than my entire old house! Weird. Pics are only about 1/4-1/3 of the entire cave. Can't wait for you all to come party!
Just wanted to check in the regionals for anybody driving a beautiful santorin b5 s4. I saw him at donaldsons crossroads on Friday at about 3:00PM. The car had what looked to be like BBS LM's (even though i only saw it for a few seconds, it might have had another type of mesh wheel), had bright ass yellow fogs and an RS4 grill. He followed me down West McMurray but I think he went into Canonsburg. Anybody here?! Was suprised to see it in a summer mode!

Nice Lee, I need to get to work on our basement soon, still debating on if i am going to do projector route or a big flat panel.
If you can control ambient light and can sit at least 8'-10' from the screen then projector is the way to go IMHO. Based on throw distance calculator, when I get the actual window-less "theater room" done (22'X20'), I'll be able to have a 160" straight across (can't remember the diagonal measurement) screen in full 1080P and 3D! Technology that cost a fortune just a few years ago is now sourced online at not any more than a high-end flat screen at a box retailer. And doing the install myself is where the big $$ is saved.
For now, the ~tiny~ 102" will have to do, lol.
But it does lose it's luster during the day unless I buy black-out shades, and those things aren't cheap, I've found. At night though... it's sick.
By the way, I friggen changed out all the brass door knobs to oil-rubbed bronze because of your house. We totally LOVE your house, dude! I wish I could retro-fit in the built-in vaccuum contraption you have. That's "ballah".
I'm almost done with this year's projects and then I'll have a G2G. I'm not starting in to the other stuff like the dedicated theater room until next winter. It needs framed in, and until I have the energy to move stuff to the attics, it is still the storage facility from the move.

sweet, now we can undo all the careful work you've done in one unruly party.
Anyone have an evap/vacuum leak detector aka smoke machine or recommend an area independent shop that has one? Trying to diagnose either a brake booster failure or massive vacuum leak that I can't find for the life of me with propane or a boost tester.

Hey guys, where's a good/inexpensive place to get powder coating done in Pgh? I've been trying to get some quotes but everyone is ridiculously expensive. I just need my wheels done ASAP. Any help is appreciated.

I've used this place before for work and they did a really good job, but it was not cheap. http://www.electro-kote.com/
I got a quote for a different project from this place and they were one of the more inexpensive places, and seem to do a lot of automotive stuff. http://dylanscoatings.com/

From experience, I'd send my ECU to APR HQ before I'd take it to any driving-distance "authorized dealer". Turnaround is very fast, actually. I'm not sure what the criteria would be to become an "authorized dealer", but actual experience working on Audis doesn't always seem to be a prerequisite.
This is very good advice. Lesson learned.

Is there any place that can tune AWD cars in or near Pittsburgh?
Sent from my VS910 4G using Tapatalk
i'm guessing you are asking for an awd dyno? what car, what software? i tuned my car on the street and fine tuned on the dyno.
Lee, looking great! how about i finally pulled out of the garage and have my cars at the house... tight squeeze in my home garage, but it's nice to wrench again after putting the kid down for the night.
Hi, I'm new to the Pittsburgh forum. I picked up a new to me 2010 S4 at the end of December. Prior car was a 2007 S4. Can anyone recommend a Pittsburgh-area dealer who can perform VAG-COM updates?

Thanks for responding streamline and blacka4. I was hoping to raise the brightness of my DRL's and activate the oil temp. monitor so I know when my car is at temperature. I'd be happy to donate a case of your favorite beer for your trouble.
any one see the news last night about the 19 year old kid that was driving a B5 S4 that was killed on 422 outside new castle? apparently he was driving crazy and smashed into a truck coming the other direction.
