Sure, I can do anything on a sunday. I wish we had a track around here that wasn't at such a high altitude. I want to race. I took out a VW R32 and a benz SLK350 the other day. Not much of a race but it was fun.

yea when i bought the car it was bent in the middle so my dickin around probably didn't help..... yea poped one rock.....so yea.... feel like a dumbass but it was fun, and now i will get smoother shifts and WAY better throttle response!

If you get an 00-01 the F hose and throttle body boot are prone to tear. The 01.5-02 don't have a F hose and the boot is still weak but have updated clamps which don't tear the boot like the previous years. The 01.5 and 02 have updated oil lines for the turbos which is a +, and also have esp (traction control), and has updated badges, which I like. Other than that, Just look for the timing belt being replaced, that's a big one.
The abs module is weak in all and will give a solid brake light and blinking. It costs about 200 to have rebuilt. The engine mounts are weak, they tear and leak the purple fluid out. Mine leaked and ripped the top bolt completely out of the mount as I was passing somebody. Normal things like controls arms will go out eventually too.

Not to bad.......whats the max HP people can take the S4 Motors with stock internals before they start going?
I have read that the motors can handle up to about 550 awhp. Once you get into RS6 or gt turbos, you need to do new rods and pistons. A stock engine can handle a full stage 3 just fine.The tranny's, not too sure but I know a lot of people track their cars and do multiple hard launches.

550 is good enough..... yeah ive seen some guy at the drag strip with stock drivetrain running on DR's and that shit looked like it was gonna launch off the ground! lol........ Hows the maintenance on these cars? heard it sucked? i had a German car before(VW LOL) and if its anything like that then, No Biggie.

I don't think it'll hit that. I just bought a stage 3- ecu to go with my K04's for now and it dynod at 325/327. I think a maxed K03 car is about 250-300 awhp. Boost is almost maxing out with a chip . I hit 16-18 lbs right now and power drops off fast in the upper rpms. It's also why my driverside turbo is loud as hell.
I just bought a house and have to finish my Formula and my truck so I went stage 3- for awhile and will go full stage 3 later. I bought the ecu with a GIAC tune. GIAC is a pretty aggresive tune. JHM/Vast and a few other custom tuners can chip it with great results though. JHM is in the bay, along with 034 which do dyno tuning. When I go full stage 3, it'll be with JHM, they hold alot of records for track times.

I also need to do some tranny mods, torque converter and tip chip to help handle the power. Look up stage 3- orminus on youtube and you will see. A stage 2 will beat alot of cars out there.

What do you need for a stage 2?
How would a s4 compare to a Evo? In other words, what would be a better choice for a track/drag car? Not hating on the S4, im still getting one LOL.... just debating on which one is going to be my DD......

Stage 2 is just a chip and turboback exhaust. I believe a stage 2 will beat sti's/evos. I can keep up with sti's with my stage 1. I believe the blue one is stock drivetrain stage 3. With a stage 3 6 speed, you can hit 11's all day long. JHM hit's 11.1's in their full interior s4
