Awesome vids, Steve! Now I really want one of those cams! lol.
So, since this thread has died again... I will soon be getting an AGB (same as APB, but Europe-only, pre 2k) motor with K04's, 630 injectors, RS4 intake, the works, plus an RS4 transmission for the money that the insurance company is going to pay me... Only thing that will come outta pocket will be new motor/tranny mounts that I need, a fuel pump, and maybe the clutch kit (VAST said they'd throw in a new FW for shipping). Also, for less than $800, I'll be getting a brand new (10 yrs old, NO miles) short block, that I plan on building up over time until complete... ;) Just thought I'd spice this thread up. Hope things are going well for everyone here... Hope the new year's treating you right so far. :D
That's a special build coupe GT.
NG motor, 130 hp compared to 110
Bigger brakes, rear discs, digital dash, leather interior(at least from the factory, looks like it might have cloth)
That is the IDEAL coupe gt to start with if you want a cool one. Go get it! before I do!!
lol. I used to think you were crazy, Phil... But I've had my "beater" for a year now, and she's a champ... In the year I've owned her, I've driven well over 15k miles around Europe, often at speeds over 100mph... I am ashamed to admit this, but I haven't changed the oil once (changing it next week)... Her alternator died last month, quick fix... Blower's giving me fits, starter squeals when cold, but otherwise, it's a beast! Can't ask for much more from a 24 yr old car...

If you haven't left blood or tears on it, you're not trying hard enough...
So, the long battle with the insurance company is pretty much done... Adjuster finalized my claim, forwarded it to the insurance company... Should have the money in my account by the end of next week, then I can get my poor girl back up and running... Picked up the keys from the garage that messed it up today, towing it outta there next week... Such a good feeling!

My buddy works at Les Schwab, I think, and he actually knows what he's doing, too, surprisingly... Knows that there's a 12-step process to align a B5, and knows the steps... Really impressed me... lol.

lol. Ouch... But at least you knew where to start, instead of taking a whole day to figure out the good way... :P And I'll ask my buddy where he works.

Off Topic here but, what do you guys think about the new allroad coming to the states? I know it's going to be based off the A4 chassis but what I don't get is, if they are calling it an "Allroad" why did they delete the basic element that makes it an "Allroad," Such as the driver controlled height adjustment?
LOL, no contest.. It's okay though, Not even the lighter Tip S4 could have kept up. Gotta get more mods into it Steve. Unless I am losing my eye sight and that's not Steve in the front getting smaller and smaller ...
Haha. 4 months or so. I don't remember. I only put it up as a "We'll see what happens". Have a buyer for it that wants it tomorrow... But I'm still on the fence about it so probably won't. I want a 6 speed, though

Fellas it has been a while since I posted up here but I need some help. I purchased a set of 19inch peelers for my S4 and was wondering if I will need spacers or rings to make the wheels hub centric. I cant wait to get these things on with a nice set of coilovers but it is still winter up here.
Hahaha I know long time, yeah I got the RS6 19's. Have not started on the Bird yet because we are ripping down our garage this spring so I have to wait until the new one is built to start working on it. Hows everything going with you?
Good, bought Sergio's Allroad for the wife, did some tuning, wheels, control arms, tie rods, 6 speed swap since I last saw you.
I would say that since they're RS6's they should fit with no spacers and the hub should be the same size as the S4 wheels but i'm not 100% sure. What's the offset? Might stick out more than the stock S4's
Nice!! I love the All Road's man there is just something about it you know. I remember reading in here you were going to do the swap. Hows it running since that?? I am going to buy a floor jack so I can test fit them soon. They were off a B8 S4 down in Vegas. I want to say they are 19x9.5 I forgot hahaha.
I would think they'd fit fine. The car is running pretty well for not having fueling still. Car is pretty fast. Smoother now with the control arms and center driveshaft bearing.
Evan, I left easy off idle, next time I'll launch :)
