hey guys. im usually on audiforums alot but I browse here a good ammount too.
Anybody else from the reno area? It'd be nice to find some more audi guys around here.

I'm from Carson City, but i drive to Reno everyday to go to UNR. i'm in an 01 A4 1.8T. Its black, debadged trunk, on 17'' B7 RS4's and Lowered.

I actually think I saw you driving today... If you see a Gold D2 A8L driving around thats partially debadged thats most likely me.
D2 is I beleive 97-01 body style....

Ive seen a silver a4 around here with an audizine sticker on it. ive seen it in the johnson lane area and around walmart.
and theres a blue a4 that looks lowered and debadged that ive seen all around town..

AutoHaus, its south of reno near winco on 395. you can google them. they are an arm and a leg though for parts and install. For just install wise i'd go to Hi-tech automotive. There good for installations, and there pretty fare on there prices. There right behind Arby's thats down the street from the peppermill going south bound, i forgot the street name. I think i've seen your audi on campus before.

Hi guys, was just looking to see if anyone was on here from Reno/Carson. Looks like an old thread but thought I'd thrown my name in.

I purchased a silver 05 A4 USP about a month ago. Been working on it ever since cleaning up a lot of neglected items. Hope to have it on the road in a couple weeks.

Live in Carson, work in Reno, should start commuting in it daily in a couple weeks. Still have lots of small details to clean up so if anyone has experience would enjoy talking to someone local who's gone down a similar path. New to Audi so just starting the learning process.

Like to talk about which repair business are good, where to get parts locally, special tools, etc.

For instance I just needed a 38mm / 1.5" crowsfoot to start on the TRE replacement, would have been nice if I knew someone that had one. Instead I've ordered one ..... in the future if someone local needs one I'd let lend it out.

Audi is new to me so accepting my local Napa will have limited selection of parts is a learning experience. Being able to buy parts the same day you need them isn't possible, well living in Carson doesn't help either.

Anyway we'll see how next weekend goes... parts and tools are do in this week.

well If you need any specific parts or a big job done that you dont think you can do yourself. Lookup Valley Wagon. They're on the north end of carson. They specialize in only european cars. and theyre good at it. They're not too bad on prices either.

Well, I PM'd vietfoo300zx my reply which basically said that I was down(Like stated on post #26)for a GTG but if it was like 2 weeks from now. The reason being is my car is down for the count till then( I also have a WRX but would feel a little bit out of place especially if there are to be pictures taken).
