If he's using the 2.7 motor then it's still an S4 in my book.

all of the internals have been custom made in the usa as you are the only guys that have the balls to go for big bhp....
so i have these babys.... corrillo rods spec'ed to 1500bhp and to rev to 10,000rmp's
and i had je pistons make us these.... also these are spec'ed to 1500bhp and 10,000rpm's
they are also going to give us 8.1.1 compression to able us to run the 3.5 bar boost we are running...
as far as the rest of the internals .. im running solid lifters, cat cams, and a redline of 10,000rmp
the 2.4 euro heads i have ported myself... these are now off for final finishing and flowing, and new 3 angle valves

im new to audizine, ive been at audiforums for awhile. well.. i just spent bout an hour or more reading this whole thread, when i was supposed to be getting some sleep before i have classes in the mornin. This is an absolutely insane undertaking. You have some huge balls to even attempt this.
How many man hours do you have stuck in this project? IMO, if it still has the VIN tag, its still an S4. My hats off to you. Keep it up!
Its a tubbed out tube framed shell. I dont build race cars for a living. I dont care to. However calling this a 1000hp "audi" is comical.

side note- 1000-1500hp seems a very..under rated for a all purpose dragster, theres a civic down the st from where i live that was just dynoed at a 1000hp, and its shell is completely factory and uses a bored over 2.2 honda motor with golden eagle sleeves...i mean supras skylines rx7's etc have been making 1400hp and are still street driven, why the low suspected numbers??
^with the right gearing and weight you dont need 8000hp.
with all his resources for knowledge as well as his own im sure he will do very well.

i wasnt implying he needs 8000hp or watever..but hes talking about running consitent 8's and with that body and those numbers thats a big ?mark
although there are hundreds of factors besides hp n weight when you get into this kind of dragging so who knows...gripped runs might do the job as well too..i dunno just my 2cents
Nice turbo selection...you should and can go bigger such as a GT45 or your 43 with 45 guts in it. The DSM boys are running GT42's on some 2.2l and 2.4L strokers and they see FULL boost by 5k rpms.

just got my dsm back 2day! its gunna be my full purpose track car, im running the 60-1 t3 hot side, full spool (24psi) should come in after tune around the 3800
yeah it seems that the t3 turbine side is old news...everyone now runs t4 or bigger. People have realized the quench area on the t3's even with a .86 a/r is not enough to flow as well or spool faster than a t4 with a .68.
