CarMax is a great place to buy but in my opinion and others past experiences, do not sell them your car...

My parents tried doing a trade on a car that was 40k new when they bought it and only 6 months after we had had the car it only had 5.5k and they wanted to give us 26.5k and the car was in pristine condition...

I know parts of the economy are tough but thats just crazy.

carmax is great to sell a car that has major problems that arent too noticable. So did your car have blown turbos, leaking water pump, cam gaskets?

Nah, my car was in great condition overall, they actually gave me the most for my car out of everywhere I took it. They gave me 9k, other places wanted to give me between 6 and 8. I had a very very pleasant experience there. I never actually thought that I would sell a car AND buy a car from carmax. I got a better deal on the car I purchased because I know someone that works there. I ended up getting a Dodge Magnum R/T for too many reasons to list but I am very happy with it and it's performance, it's nearly as fast as my stage 2+ S4 was as it is stock.

how many miles were on it at the time? I hope you took off all the Stage 2+ stuff and sold it to them stock for only 9k...

I had almost everything off the car when I sold it. It is the Hemi Magnum I love it, I think in 2 years or so I may buy another S4 but I think I will be going with a B6+ and get a V8.
