New 1996 Audi A4 2.8L owner going on 4 weeks now. I live in Clayton and work Cary. Just hitting a few boards like Audizine to get a bit more knowledgeable on the A4. Would love to hook up with someone in the Raleigh area with Vag-Com software to teach me how to use it to diagnose & make changes as needed to the A4. I've found an ex-Audi Tech in Holly Springs that's going to replace an upper front control arm for me, but he doesn't have Vag-Com to be able to show me how to diagnose things.
Also just like to meet other Audi owners to take a look at their cars first hand and learn something new.
Oh yeah, I spent my birthday washing 3 of the 4, waxing 2 (the S4 and cq) ...
Wow!!! Lot's of nice looking Audis you've got theringmeister. It's funny now that I own an Audi I can't help keep my eyes open for more. They all look great.

Got to stop by Apex Tuning saturday morning and learned alot. Could see those guys were in the process of putting back somebody's Audi A4 in one bay and Tim's VW R32T was in the other bay getting fitted with a new dial-able toy for his C2 400 Turbo. Thanks to Tim for taking the time to show me his car and explain a few parts installed.
Pinky showed up and was pleasantly surprised to find out he use to live in my neighborhood. How weird is that. He was gracious enough to show me his A4 and his project Jetta. I'll definately will be checking in on that one every now & then since I know how to get to the shop now. I joined NCDUBS as well. Alright starting to get to know a few VW/Audi locals to learn more.
sorry for the late response, but i own apex tuning.. lmk if you have any questions.
my warranty ends in january so im on the lookout for a reliable shop for upgrades/service that wont rob me. all signs are pointing towards your shop, unfortunately all signs are not pointing towards a revo tune (insert your best sales pitch here )
thanks for the response pinky.
we dont currently sell revo.. we had it and there was a little bit of a mess (dont really feel like going into details).. we were supposed to get the flashing cable back but it has not shown up yet..
we are, however, an authorized unitronic dealer... which is part of the reason we're in no big rush to get revo back (even tho we can theoretically sell both).
as for the unitronic.. no sales pitch needed, just search for it on here or vortex
as for everything else, we can definitely take care of you. feel free to swing by next time you are in the area.
Well, I finally found a way out of the allroad over the weekend. Didn't really try to hard to sell it (only advertised on CL and nceuro) and probably for good reason. Ross Stocklin is the sales manager at Flow in WS, and he and I were Brand Specialists there back in 00-02. Between insane dealer money from Audi, a great rate from my credit union, and his just being extremely cool, I 1)no longer have a payment on my S4 (was small, and almost paid off, but), 2)no longer have my negative equity situation on the allroad, and 3) have this:
Model Year: 2008 Model: 4LB4DL
AUDI Q7 3.6 4-DR AUTO QUATTRO - PREMIUM
Exterior Color: R6R6 CALLA WHITE
Interior Color: CM CARDAMOM BEIGE
Options:

3FU PANORAMA SUNROOF
6W9 FRONT PLATE FILLER PANEL

N1F LEATHER SEATING SURFACES
PAW COLD WEATHER PACKAGE

Thanks, I try to keep what I've got on the road but the cq and blue 90 are monuments at the moment. See above for recent change to the fleet...

I've never seen someone own so many Audis... and you go out and buy another. Wow. I'm interested in seeing more of the older Audis in person now that I've seen pics of some.
Good to meet your car being worked on. Maybe I'll meet you sometime in the future. I drive a stock '96 A4 2.8L myself. No turbo or modifications.
im sure we'll meet sooner or later. i'd like to go out to more meets but having my car in their garage and not mine kinda puts a damper on that 99% of the time lol. is your car red by any chance?

My car is an Emerald Mica (Green). I'm not sure about hitting a bunch of meets since my car is pretty stock, but I might try one or two just to meet folks & check out their rides. I just want to keep my A4 running pretty good for now. I'm slowly doing a few things to the car in that direction. I've already replaced a rear passenger wheel bearing to get rid of a humming sound. Much nicer to ride in now. I've reordered a front left upper rear facing control arm to get ride of a clunk due to a failed rubber bushing. That should be in on monday. I ordered the wrong one the first time. I've got a guy in Garner that will be replacing my headliner next.

having a stock car is no reason not to go to the meets. its more about the community and hanging out with fellow enthusiasts than flexing your mod muscle. some of us are just a little more insane than others. there's a lot of great people in the area, it'd be a shame to miss out on meeting them.
i hear ya on the keeping it running well, that's the most important thing.

my problem is I'd like to keep them all. The allroad might have been the only possible exception, and if I was loaded with cash I'd have kept it too. The suspension and possibility of torque converter failure were the only reason we had to move on, aside from needing room for 7.
If you think I have a lot of Audis, you need to get out more! I'm small-time when compared to some of the other old-timers (I'm one too, just don't want to admit it) on the quattro list (the email list at audifans.com...the original, one and only q-list) and even some of the older AW forum members.

+1.
My UrS4 is bone stock except for the Boleros and some Samco hoses, which really don't add much except for a slight cosmetic change and better reliability.
My coupe is stripped and has some suspension mods, but that's about it, and they're old and degrading anyway, so it's a wash.

Anyone else in Charlotte go to UNCC? If so, y'all should come to the UNCC Horsepower Addicts Anonymous meetings in lot 4A, every friday during school at 6pm

I couldn't make it and forgot to post it up here. Maybe some of you guys should check out the AW SER forum. I'll try to alert some of them to this little niche as well.
Any get togethers coming up soon? Ive finally got the Audi back on the road and running good so i can actually go to one now. I know basically every big Honda person in NC, so its time i embraced my other half. I only know a few people from the vag scene, and they mostly hang out with Honda people so i need to branch out lol
BTW-Does anyone have a b5 a4/s4 with power windows that theyre parting out? I need the plastic clips that hold the metal window brackets onto the window regulator/slider. Or if anyone that knows of a junkyard around here that has some audis(ive been to 4 and only found one audi and it wasnt what i needed). You cant buy them straight from audi and they want a ridiculous amount for the whole slider assembly, which is the only way to get those plastic clips that i need. Shoot me a PM if you have one or know someone who could help!
Checking in from Wilmington.. and local Audi owners from here? I meet up with some VW people every once and a while but there isn't much love for the 4 rings around here.. at least from what I've seen.
I am about to move to Kannapolis from NJ. Anyone near that area?
