just dropped my baby off for service at leith audi in cary. low and behold they gotta R8 sitting in the showroom and its USED. they said the owner "had his fun with it and wanted to move on." but only 1700 miles of fun?
they'll let you sit in if the showroom is open... check it out.

knowing leith audi if you spend a decent bit of money on the service and stay persistent they might actually let you drive it hahaha. i got a drive in a new TT and a b7RS4 as bonus perks when i bought my car. (on top of price drop, CPO, etc etc)

Excellent, thanks for the info. I know Raleigh is a bit far for some of us (about 2 hours for me), but I'd be willing to come out every now and then. My g/f is out in Chapel Hill, and she's always begging me to come out there anyhow.

if by long while they mean a couple months.... atleast it doesnt seem like its been that long. they've got (or had) a s6 up there too. and atleast one or two a5's the last time i was there...

always loaded on s4's and really nice, optioned out a3's too

sorry guys, couldn't make it out this past week....been out of the loop with work and other things. the kart track in greensboro is grand prix greensboro (www.grandprixgreensboro.com) and it's a tad pricey but they usually have deals on certain days of the week where you can buy 2 races and get the third free. Ends up costing $35 or so. I think on Tuesdays they run 10 minute heats instead of 8.

It's pretty fun one way or the other, and would be a decent place to meet up. I prefer a little food and bev so anywhere in GSO is fine with me. There's a Moe's SW grille on Wendover near the Costco so it's easy on/off 40. Moe's is cheap and they have great food (IMHO) and beer too. And a HUGE parking lot which is mostly empty since Sofa Express went out of business.

Moe's and karts is cool with me. I work until 5:30 this week, so it would probably be 6:30 or 7:00 by the time I got home, changed, and got out to Greensboro. So let's set a specific time to meet on Thursday, and have everyone that wants to come sign up. I'm gonna say 7:00 Thursday at Moe's, we should be able to be at the go kart place by 8 or 8:30, make a few runs, and then head home. Sound good to everyone?
