It's been a long time since I've updated this thread, but honestly, I haven't done anything to the avant in a while...until yesterday. I picked up a new set of wheels. After several years with the BBS RKs on two seperate cars, I thought it was time for a change.
I'm starting to get the itch to upgrade the turbo...we'll see. I've gotta do the timing belt this summer and it'll be my first time doing it myself. I figure that might be a good time to do some other stuff too.

Looks good Jbrentd!!! I really like those rims on your Avant. If you lived closer, I would give you a hand with the timing belt.
What kind of turbo are you thinking about??? K04, GTRS/Eliminator

Thanks. Not sure yet. I'd like to find someone selling a used K04 and get everything together. I know that most people recommend going with the eliminators over the K04...so, we'll see. I'm on the fence.

I'm on the turbo fence too.
KO4 would work better for me and putting it together a little at a time. Get the KO4 when my turbo goes or one at the right price or just save, save for all of the elim stuff and do it all at once. This is my in town daily driver and I usually only see 4-5K of rpm max at times on my very short (2.5 miles) drive to and from work.
The weekend would be more for the eliminator and getting out on some back roads and letting it fly.

Well, I finally got around to doing the timing belt and while I was at it, I swapped in a K04 with the GIAC FXK04 (Hammer) file and all the supporting mods. I've been happy with it so far.
I took this picture the other night. I kind of like it.
Also, I recently purchased a set of S4 sideskirts and lower door blades. I'd like to find an S4 or Kerscher bumper, but might have to settle for painting my lower valence until I come across a good deal.
I received these goodies over the Thanksgiving holiday. I also ordered the rear brackets to get them mounted. Gonna try and paint them myself along with a rear spoiler (that I've had for a while now) and the lower valences. Any ideas on how much paint I'll need to all of that?
This won't be everyone's favorite mod, but I like it. I swapped the silver beltline trim for the S4 maple trim. I was tired of all of the GREY. I better like it, because I destroyed the long piece on the dash trying to get it out. Oops. Audi way over-engineered the fasteners on the trim pieces, IMO.
I still miss my B5 Avant, like you are saying I too needed a bigger car/Avant and went with my new to me C6 Avant. I just wished I had kept the B5 too. I agree car payments suck as I drove my B5 for 13 plus years and the last 9 car payment free.

^ So, how does the size of your C6 compare to the B5? I need it for my boys. They are 9 and 11 now and it's getting cramped in the back seat for them.
Night and day difference with room comparing the B5 and C6. I am 6' and there is plenty of room for someone sitting in the backseat. The C6 is just a big car period and the family is happier on long trips. Still, still miss tossing the B5 around in the snow and would rather have the manual trans too.
No regrets with the C6, none. I get complements all the time, got them in the B5 too.

Well that's ok then lol. Even if you just had the side skirts on and kept your stock bumpers it would've looked clean imo. But the coupe quattro looks like a fun car
