I've had the car for a bit over two weeks now and the only thing I wish was that the exhaust note was a tad more aggressive...

I have really no plans on future mods "right now" but, just curious what you guys thought...

I don't want this to be "straight pipe mustang loud" just a bit more aggressive at WOT or moderate acceleration... and no drone is a MUST...

I've searched through youtube and found quite a few videos of the exhaust but I know that no justice is done via a digital camcorder...

I've had my FI CB for about 3 weeks and love it. I think this is what you are looking for. I got the resonated with the x-pipe. You get on it and you know it is there, but no drone. Also, after 2nd, it seems the engine noise is greater if you are just cruising and not WOT. I had reservations, even after hearing the youtube vids, but I think this is a great buy and I got what I wanted, which sounds like the same you are looking for. Def not anything like a Mustang.

Oh, one more question... Are you under warranty? I know they won't cover the exhaust but, any issues with other warranty work on the engine you may have heard of?

definetly the best sounding system for these cars. as long as you get the perforated core mufflers, you will experience no drone whatsoever.

Yeah, I don't think you can get spiral core anymore, mine are perf core. I bought mine through Daryl at Tantrumwerks. Great guy to deal with and had a quick turnaround. They do not make it until you order so it takes a few days before it will ship. I got the aluminized rather than the stainless, and the cans are polished. I think the only difference are the pipes themselves. Anyway, couldn't be happier, now on to coilovers.

yea, mine is one of the last where you coulde still select sprial core mufflers. FI says you can still ask for them but from what i hear is that they are just sticking to perforated

No, I just left warranty country, but have an extended. Dadgum thing cost so much I listed it as a mod! I spoke with someone at my Audi dealer who told me that a CB will not affect the warranty. Down pipes? Now that is a different story, which is why I stayed with a CB.

I'm ordering mine once they open up over there at F.I.

It's like 7am in Cali right now, right??? lol... I'll have it in next week hopefully... I've got to bring the car in for some warranty work (memory seat not functioning correctly, stereo not playing CD's and one of the tires on the car had a slow leak when I bought the car 2 weeks ago)

Also, been having a "clunking" noise only at COLD starts... Kinda worrying me a bit, sounds like something is loose in there :(

I have a fullback (perf core, resonated, xpipe) and it's been phenomenal. People look at me strange sometime because they never expect a wagon to sound like that. So far, no build / quality issues, had it about 9 months so far.

Curious as to why you guys choose resonated. From what I've read on the boards, alot of guys who copped Milltek resonated were underwhelmed by the sound and would rather the non-res. Is FI non-res overkill?

The comments say it is resonated with an x-pipe.

I'm still holding out for AWE to release their B7 exhaust, but I think this might be what I get if I don't like AWE's.

I contacted them almost three months ago and spoke to someone about pricing/availability/gains. They were supposed to get back to me and never did...I'm gonna try them again...sounds amazing for a CB system IMO

I have FI catback and absolutely love it. Sometimes i wish it could be a bit louder but the tone is amazing when warmed up. Turns everyones head cause they cant believe a sound like that came out of an audi. I know mines an X-pipe with resonators. Im just not sure which style of mufflers I have. I have the same set-up as Sai bani without downpipes......anyone know which he had????

Sia had spiral core resonated x pipe with sebring mufflers. My buddy matt bought the system from him recently.

Don't hold your breath on the AWE B7 exhaust, I waited for over a year with them telling me it was coming and it never did. So I went with a full Milltek non res system, I really wanted to use them because I'm a local guy and have used alot of there products and they have always plesaed me but I couldn't wait any longer.I even offered my car as a test mule.
