    Leaky Windshield Wiper Fluid Container...

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
My plastic windshield solution container is leaking.

Is it easy to "patch" it up (there appears to be only a hairline crack at one of the edges), or is it necessary to replace the container with a new one?

Where can i find another container and about how much should it cost me?

    thanks in advance.

Before you replace it you could try to patch it with some Pig Putty. I haven't found anything that I couldn't repair with this stuff! Clicky click

ha! new pig. My coworker and I recently ordered some stuff for our company from them just to get this pink pig shaped foam football as a free gift. it gets thrown around the office all the time.
they have some fun pig jokes as well on that site.

toaster, i would just buy a new one for the 36 bucks. you could also hit up Carson at riverside audi and most likely get it for same price as GAP but it would get to you next day since they are in Jersey.
You could maybe roughen up the crack area with sandpaper and put some epoxy ( or Pig putty!!) on there but it will probably leak again down the road at some point. If its easy enough to remove the reservoir from car, then maybe you go with the patch. if its a PITA, well ...

Is it a bitch to get out or easy? never looked at it.

Re: Leaky Windshield Wiper Fluid Container...

mine had leaked a few months ago at one of the tubes near the driver headlight...gushed out. i had audi fix that.

not, the reservoir is cracked and it holds about half-way.

the car's actually been pretty reliable for the last few months. i've replaced a handful of things in the 2 years of ownership. overall it really has not been that bad.

does anyone know how easy it is to replace the reservoir?
