just to chime in here for anyone thinking about getting their catback. Ive been working on a bunch of b5s at the new job and checked out all the other expensive exhausts. its by far the lightest SS exhaust you can get. it also is all shiny, so if you like bling then youll get it here. the other companies use crappy SS or steel for the unseen part of the exhaust. It also doesnt wear out like the others do. last year i drove it 30k miles in Virginia and we love to use salt and chemicals on our roads. its still shiny and no rust or corrosion in sight. about the only reason to not get this exhaust is if your car is very low, the two pipes drop low around the rear diff. Or if youd rather not support a Chinese company that is undercutting an American company by about 900 dollars.
I started reading through some of the posts in this thread and became exhausted, so I will just come out and ask my question. I was running open downpipes and couldn't get one of the black "olive" pieces out of the upper section of one of the downpipes. When I was finished running around town pissing everyone off, including myself I went to re-install the rest of the exhaust, noticed the black piece was missing. I went to Pep Boys and purchased another piece similar to the one I lost. This clamp doesn't even come close to sealing. Does any one know where I can get a hold of a place that sells that exact clamp? I have read and understand all of the other options ie: welding the exhaust as one piece and welding any assortment of clamps to help seal the leak.
ok, I got mine installed yesterday and told my mechanic to get rid of the mid-muffler. Holly crap this thing is loud (loud enough to set car alarms off). I'll post some videos later
Both of my mufflers went to shit. Can anyone recommend another muffler to buy?
Thanks

I read a few pages back, and saw nothing about this. BUT
Can i assume these downpipes will fit with a Tial kit ?
I want downpipes badly, and cant justify spending a grand for "real" dp's when these are under 300bucks. Piggies would be good for the time being, however i only want to buy downpipes once
^yeah if they tial fixes to the stock ones they will bolt up to tthese
I cant seem to post in classifieds mods please move
Brand New, down pipes, res. & non res.
Brand new. ssac down pipes. I don’t know what else to say they are new never been used. I realize you can buy them on eBay for 239 for resonated OR non resonated, but i have both for sale. You will get the down pipes, and resonated pipes and non resonated(straight pipes) starting from 3" and taper down to 2.5" & oliv clamps. they will fit directly to a stock cat back or any of the aftermarket cat backs that fit to stock down pipes. Brand New, both the down pipes and mid pipes have O2 sensor inlets and I also will throw in ONLY 2 new O2 sensor defoulers. I’m asking 240+shiping. But I will take 240 and 45$ and i can drive 75 miles to deliver or meet from 17050. They are packaged in box and ready to go. Shoot me a pm or post on this listing with any questions or inquires.
Ordered directly from XS-Power xs-power@ssautochrome.com
$200 shipped for resonated midpipes ($180 for straight pipes)
Only took THREE days to get to me in California from China.
Have had my single muffler exhaust on for a few thousand miles. Shipping was fast, it sounds great (it's LOUD), fitment was fine, metal and welds are definitely quality, and I've got a turboback exhaust on my car for $500. Doesn't get much better than that.
If you're questioning whether or not to buy this exhaust (or one of the variants, I'm assuming), don't hesitate. I get compliments left and right on how the exhaust sounds, what kind it is, how much was it, etc. Not to mention, the looks you get driving through town with the damn thing are priceless
I find it ironic that the colors red, white, and blue represent freedom until they are flashing behind you.
just got mine today. going to mount it hopefuly before it gets to cold if i have no time ill wait till next year. i got the downpipes and non res mid piped for 180. no to bad i think. im going to look into a shop making me a stright 2.5'' cat back. i was going to go with 3 inch dps and full 3 inch cat back but it was going to cost me to much. the price difference between 3'' pipe and 2.5'' pipe is insane. will make a vid as soon as its mounted and post here. im hoping the fit ment is good. from what i read the fitment got better as the years went on.
