Yes please go talk to anybody who understands finance, and avoid putting down that much money on essentially renting a car!
I'm interested in what a lease would be with, oh, say zero down? Though I'm sure no program is available through Audi yet, so it probably won't be such a great deal either..

Even if so, he's better off sticking that $20k in a money market account or CD (or better). That may be an oversimplification (see lease talk on Bimmerfest.com..holy crap) but true for the most part.
test drove last night...payments seemed to be around $1k no matter how ya sliced it.
Priced to $58k, tried 3 yr, 4 yr, 10k miles, 12k miles, $2500 down, $0 down...price didnt move much. Money factor and residual sucked big time...sales guy seemed as upset as I was. He said the car is priced well but Audi's financing/leasing options are shitty.

Yup, it's awful. Going to have to wait 6-12 months for the leases to look decent. I'm looking to get into one for closer to $700/month, anything over that is just silly for a $50-60k car. I might have to opt for the A5 when it comes out.

Or the TDi version A5.
