2001.5 AWM 80,000. just got it with 77,000 (one owner good service record).. got a chip right away runs great!
Get that ignition system I have I am telling you its a different car.... spdispark.com I have heard that the Ign company will be working with a well known tuning company to see what the capabilities are.
01 1.8TQM Avant 65K miles and 23.5 mpg combined. Up to 29.5 highway (average speed 75 MPH)
98 1.8TQM Base 135K and 22.5 mph combined
98 1.8TM Passat (same engine) 130K and 24.4 mph combined
I just bought an 00 avant 1.8t quattro in november, before her i had a 2001 sedan 1.8t quattro that i had from 142k-165k until the engine sludge from a the previous owners ignorance of oil changes caught up to her. still runs but sounds like a diesel. my 00 now has 117k and runs great, also prepare for fixing your flex pipe every once and a while. leaks are frequent.
a little less than half my commute is city sort of (since there's many traffic lights) and the rest is highway and then what ever I do on the weekend. Is evil good lol?
On average I do 288 miles per tank and 15.3 Gallons every fill up. It sucks. I'm only doing 18MPG but then again I drive less than a mile to work and rarely am I on the highway. I just replaced all my vacuum lines so maybe that'll help?
I just hit 140,000 last week. So far the car has never left me stranded.
I will go back to a stock tune and the stock Ignition system and see what the difference is. Since the Ignition system I have been averaging about 360 miles per tank and yesterday (all highway trip) 380 miles.
Keep in mind I have a stage one tune and a tunable plasma ignition system i really notice the performance and fuel gains so i need to go back to stock and compare.
this thread is giving me mixed feelings about trading my a4 in for a used b8 S4..As much as I would love an S4 with high monthly payments I cant help but think about how much money I would be saving and applicable mods that I can do after i pay her off in a few months....taking her to 200K is not impossible and I've taken ridiculously good care of her. Great thread.

204k miles. Bought it with 200k miles in stock form with 190-200 psi compression on all cylinders and no leaks (from the original owner.) I immediately replaced timing belt/wp etc. So far, in the few months I've owned her, I've done a GIAC chip, 2.5" cat-back Exhaust, Newsouth boost gauge, Vogtland coilovers, clear corner mod and took her to an autocross event....Shes loving the attention! Plans are to get some nice tires and continue to autocross her...one day when I have the $$$$ she's getting a tear-down and rebuild with stronger rods and a bigger turbo!
got any pictures to prove the mileage? if so, i'd really love to hear what kind repairs were done to reach that mileage.
No pictures. The car's being torn down for engine conversion. Will be a while before the cluster is powered up again.

I thought I was low... Sitting 'round 40,000 km (28,854 miles) on my '98.5 (10 since the build). This week a customer came in with a '99 A4 with 28,500 kms (17,709 miles)!! Mint condition. FULLY maintained. Just wow.

It's a 99 with ~160k miles on it. Wifes old car, I spend most of my time on the road so its been treated like shit by her and as such is falling apart at a rather rapid rate, such a shame.
Just did ECS Timing Belt kit, radiator, rear wheel bearings, all brake hoses, front brake pads/rotors, all new vacuum hoses, all fluids changed, both engine mounts, new FCP front axles to replace junky cv boots and a new battery. PO wasn't a big fan of maintenance.
Only thing left to do is OEM trans mounts and an APR snub.
