    Power Seat Problems

So I left my windows down durring a storm and got my interior a bit moist and now my power seats don't work.

Does anyone know where the fuse for the power seats is the the B7? I have the ebaun bentely manual and it only shows the locaiton ont he B6 and not the B7.

Also is there any way to get to that module that controls the power seats via vag-com?

    Re: Power Seat Problems

There isn't really a dealer very close to here and I'm almost posotive it's just a fuse. Normally I repair all my vehicles and I can't imagine this will be covered under warranty considering it was my idiot mistake.

I checked the harness near the foot well/kickpanel and one of the wires (red with white stripe) was getting power, but when I checked connectivity of the same wire on the harness under the seat, that wire wasn't getting power so I'm almost posotive it's a fuse.

I just couldn't face myself if I brought my car to the dealer to replace a fuse!

Bah you already fucked up, just bite the bullet and get it over with!

Not that I'm trying to insult you, this could happen to anyone.

BTW I live in NY and even I drive for a good hour to get to a good dealership for repairs.

I would take it to the dealer regardless of who's fault it is. It's under warranty, you should use it.

They won't cover it because it was my wrong doing.

    Re: Power Seat Problems

Why would they cover me leaving my windows/sunroof down and and getting my interior soaked?

I'm not saying it wouldn't be great if they did, but from a business stand point it'd be ridiculous if they did unless I have special "dumb ass" warranty policy

    Re: Power Seat Problems

So I figured out it was the adjustment switch module.

They are also not getting power to the drivers seat harness (red wire with white stripe), but it works when it gets auxilary power. I'm trying to keep everything updated and in detail for the dummies in the future that share the same mistake.

The passenger side is getting power to the harness but the switch is all gunked up.
