Good stuff man, more affordable power = more fast B5's. And thats what it all comes down to in the end...the advancement of the S4.
    you know it...personally i love the evo,sti,ect.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but SS4 appears to running some type of K04/RS6 Hybrid; RS4 Compressor housing and RS6 Exhaust.
There's little known info out there, but there maybe alternatives to using RSK04 compressor housings and then having a machine shop take care of the inlet for the larger RS6 compressor wheel. The Audi TT 225 K04 wheel (K04-22/23) uses the same exact size inducer on their compressor wheel and the housings themselves look a bit larger than the RS6 housing...plus, no machine work required since the inducer is the same exact size 43.18mm

ahh and of course the outlet of the compressor housing is straight so I think it would solve any clearence issues.

I'm using the RS6 compressor and turbine housings on my car. Shame you aren't a fan of EPL since we have the info.

Just for the record, by no means am I not a fan of the shop EPL. I'm just not a fan of how the dyno is calibrated (that's my only issue, its nothing personal). I've never met you, or Tony or any other employee so I dont have any right to judge... from what i've seen you're all more than capable of making these cars fast. But I do appreciate (honestly) you sharing that info. Who knows, maybe one day i'll be at the shop for an install.

Re: Anyone here running RS6 turbos?

I've been following this thread for a while. I am currently running K04/RS6 hybrids with around 11K miles on them running 24psi holding 23psi to 7K. I had PJ K04s first but they blew early due to a coolant into oil leak so I went to the hybrids looking for a little more top end. The hybrids are definitely an improvement but I still want a little more up top and since I use the car for a daily driver and weekend road coarse toy at ACNA events and such I am more interested in making the car run near the same power but without pushing the turbos so hard so that it will hold up better during 30 minute sessions. Anyway, I now have a set of RS6 turbo's and am in no hurry to get them in but when my hybrids blow they will be next to go in. I can just use the compressor housings from my hybrids so that part is easy but am looking for info on what needs to change for the WG's to work? I could give a crap about rod breaking power since my car is a handfull at the track as it is. I am looking to run the same or less boost than with the hybrids and hoping to make similar to a little more power and have lower egt's and iat's.

Fair enough. FWIW, our dyno is calibrated per Mustang specs. We use it for tuning purposes so if it reads higher or lower than others is irrelevant to our uses.
