I thought somebody mentioned this before, but I've done some mild searching, and haven't come across anything yet.
Has anybody experienced what happened to me twice today... in that my sunroof "tilt-up" MOVED without me being anywhere near the controls??
I was driving and crossed an elongated speed bump, heard the sunroof motor and noticed it had opened about halfway. It later twitched again driving on smooth road.
I wouldn't be paranoid if I hadn't recently found out that when my car was CPO'd, the only thing that was replaced was the sunroof mechanism.
Any tips guys?

Edit: had it fixed under warranty. Bad potentiometer in the dial.

I was having all the symptoms of Cam Lobe wear. It haven't been able to get it to do it in about 4 to 6 months and since the soft codes have disappeared. Unfortunately the warranty is over in 15,000! Hope it throws some codes so I can get it fixed before.
Is there another fuel pump available that would have greater reach to the Lobe or is the only solution to replace the Cam.
Also, just had to have my PVC changed by Audi...

Did anybody have any issues with the Timing belt in a 2008 A4 (B7) 2.0T?
Last week I noticed a belt was squeeling after cold start but the noise was gone like 5 minutes later. The squeel was not to bad but annoying enough, I took it in to the dealer and they said they replaced the timing belt (Under Warranty) is the service manager bull shitting? the Car has 19,000 miles and is not pushed or abused !
Either they told you wrong or you heard wrong because a timing belt won't squeel unless it's a tensioner or something but there's little to no drag on a tensioner so if it failed it could but that's the part that would need replaced, not the t-belt. It would have to be an accesory belt.

so i have a b6 but im forced to sell it because of so many issues and without warranty i cant afford to fix them...
im lookin into to a b7 either 06' 07', so is there a good mileage to get these at?im goin for as low as possible, do most of these problems generally occur within the warranty period?
just trying to get as much info as possible so i dont want a repeat, thanks
Have had the crankcase ventilation valve go on me and it was many trips back to the dealer and headaches for them to actually find out the problem was the crankcase ventilation valve. My car would idle up and down from almost stalling to 3000 RPM's, and was out of warranty when they finally found out the problem.
I lost it on the service guy and exploded right there on the spot and they ended up doing it for free :)

I just had this replaced at 25k miles. Did your car shudder hardly at startup?

What can you say about the smell of cat urine in an A4? 4 Days after we brought it home it started. Whole garage smells from it. Inside the car it is very strong odor.

I can say that it can be pretty bad. Replace the cabin filter and run the heater with fan on. You've got some serious mold issue in the vent ducts. You can use foggers or an ozone machine to circulate odor neutralizers in the car as well if replacing the filter does not help.

Background:
The tumble flap motor is prone to failure. This is probably the most common problem I’ve seen when scanning cars with the vag-com. A little background on how the tumble flap works:

Symptoms:
You may see the following DTC’s
-012599 - Intake Manifold Runner Control: Basic Setting not Completed
P3137 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded - Intermittent
-008196 - Intake Manifold Flap; Bank 1: Stuck Open
P2004 - 008 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent
- 012600 - Intake Manifold Runner Control: Regulation Deviation
P3138 - 008 - Implausible Signal - MIL ON
Solution: The intake manifold flap motor needs to be replaced.
anyone knows if this causes a rough start? my car was shaking while starting up but runs completely fine.... (at least on the 5 km trip to the dealer). The dealer told me it is something about the intake manifold... so i am guess it's this problem....
any solutions to this? the dealer replaced the headlights and ballasts, and though they don't go out as much as they did, the left side still goes out every so often.

Don't have a fix, but when I mentioned this to my dealer they claimed it could be a software issue...? Can't remember now what exactly needed to be updated, but I do remember that they wanted $200 to "maybe fix the problem". This has become a big annoyance for me, now both sides flicker on and off.

very annoying and dangerous. Cant we file a class action lawsuit for Audi to resolve this problem. Sometimes both my headlight will go out at the same time.

Actually, my car is sitting in an Audi service bay this very minute for this issue. I set up the appointment and told them the problem, along with mentioning this TSB: Dipped Headlight TSB
And they agreed that it was a problem. No word on what they'll do to fix it, or if they'll fix it at all. I'll report back later after I pick her up.

Well, the car was at the dealership all day Wednesday and they couldn't reproduce the issue. They gave the car back but I haven't had it happen to me since then. They recommended leaving the car there for a few days this week, so it's going back to them on Wednesday for a few days. Again, I'll let you guys know if I hear anything.

Also, do any of these issues apply to the 3.2 besides the a/c?

Sorry for the long delay in posts, the car came back from the dealer back in November and I have not had the headlight issue since then.
Hi, can I ask you please to investigate, what did the dealer do?! Did they replace something or just made a software update?
I have the same problem with my 2006 b7 and my bi-xenon lights. It flickers and goes off all the time... I think most of us have the same issues with their head lamps so it would be great to share your expirience with us.

Well the dealer ended up replacing both lights under the extended warranty. A different dealer wanted to try flashing some software but also wanted $150 for their effort and weren't sure that it would even help.
