You can, however it's not recommended.

Those of you looking for the BOV sound, this is what I recommend. Purchase the inexpensive and reliable 710N DV's and an EVOMS CAI. You'll end up spending less than you would for some expensive forged DV's or "hybrid" valves and you'll get the sound that you're wanting.

That's just my .02 cents.

get bailey's i know they are pricy but once i bought them i dont regret it at all. and for those of you running it i compare it to the apr bi-pipe its one of those things that kind of expensive but SOOOO worth it when you buy it and install it. plus you will never have to do the mod again. i know somebody who blew a 007 with 24 psi but that was just one instance, ive just heard of it being impossible to blow baileys

it's probably because he had the wrong spring in there if it was a 007A.

Does anyone know if the turbosmart hybrid BOV/Diverter works on a b5 s4? i talked to someone and they couldnt fit them on, and if thats so that means no hybrids will work. can someone clarify this for me. thanks

I don't believe they will fit without an adapter, which i'm not sure if anyone makes.

The Forge "Splitter" valve will fit our cars, and can be adjusted between DV and BOV.

can the forge splitter be adjusted to 100% bov or vice versa? Im looking at the GFB stealth adjustables. How do those tend to work?

I don't know if the Forge can be adjusted to 100%. I would assume so. Try PM Pat@Forge and asking him.

cant i put 007 DV and then get an open cone filter and it would make the pshhh sound right? or im wrong ? cuz on my GTI 1.8T i had that and it made pretty loud pshhhh

Yes, you are correct. Though, it will be quieter on the 2.7T.

I would assume it will need an adapter, but every DV/BOV is different. Sorry, I can't be of help!

To me personally, it's not noticeable unless you're paying attention inside the car or if you're outside the car.

But, im coming from the turbo world where the louder the BOV, the better.

Meaning, i'm used the really loud sequential BOV's. There is no sound the S4 can make that remotely compares to a real BOV, in my opinion.

If the 1.8T is a 5 on the loud scale, the 2.7T is a 2.

You can try the Forge Splitters. That would be the closest thing without actually running BOVs.

One person did run them sucessfully, I believe. But he's not around anymore, I don't think. I would say 9 times out of 10 it will end up causing problems.

Can you not have the sound? Yeah, by a DV.

You want the sound? Use the splitters at your own risk.

^ Looks great, but you'll have to run it at 100% closed and then you've got yourself a really expensive DV.

reading through this thread, I see a little talk about it but nobody actually running splitters. I've got one on my TT that works flawlessly and I'm getting my S4 next week so I will be putting splitters on it.

Most say there will, but so few have tried it, I can't say for certain. I only know of 1 person that sucessfully ran them. They are tech. never a fully circulated valve, as they still "blow-off air".
