Yes, I do. Are you talking about the trim or the actual shifter plate?
    Trim
Remove wood trim surrounding metal shifter plate by opening ashtray and pulling up on trim.
    Shifter plate
Remove shift knob by removing the shifter button and pulling upwards on knob. Loosen clips on shifter plate and and remove .

I did it to mine when I painted

Re: How to remove the trim plate around the shifter (auto)

    Thanks.

So, to remove the trim plate (wood in the picture), I should open the front ashy tray and pull the trim upwards. Wouldn't the aluminum plate be in the way when trying to remove the trim plate?

Re: How to remove the trim plate around the shifter (auto)

Sorry to rehash this thread but I would like to ask a few questions...

First for removing the "shifter", so basically one has to just pull the button out (does it come completely out?) or pull it as far as it will go - then just pull the leather shifter directly up ?

Second, for removing the shifter plate - I did notice that there are approx 8 taps in total (4 on either side), so one just has to disengage these tabs and then pull the shifter plate upwards ?

Thanks, but our shifter plate is scratched up and I would like to refinish it...
