Forgestar offers them in 18 and they only weigh 18lbs and are forged.

Unlike the above cast. 30lbs. Replicas. Close to same cost

    I think they're $899 or $999 for 19x8.5. I think Forgstars are around $1350-up.

ya if it's $1k for the VMRs i see the point of getting the forgestars. however if i'm looking at 18s (which i am), and they're $699 or $799 to the forgestar's $1200-1300, then I have a harder choice!

I'm waiting for 18s too. 18x8.5 would be ideal. The 19s are 25.5 lbs.

    He's running a 19x8.5 ET35/19x9.5 ET45 fitment with hub rings from 66.6mm to 57.1mm. The 19x8.5s weigh about 25.5 pounds per wheel.

Good catch! Thanks for the heads up.

18s may be coming in the future but I would not expect them to be here for a while considering we just brought a container of these in in 19" sizing.

A stud conversion with any extended tuner style lug nut should look similar to that.

Well if you price a 4 Door GTI with decent options it is pushing 28k. If you price a similarly equipped A3 it is 31.5k. 3.5k to have an Audi rather than a VW, and the Audi's are usually better equipped, have a better resale value, etc. Its not that much difference really.

Than you have to add about 5k to match the same options as the GTI... lol

I like the MK6 GTI, but would still go for the A3 again... Except we may not see a Sportback. :(

Nice, are those stock wheels? Haven't seen them before. And lucky you still have snow, had almost no winter in Southern California this year.

Yep, they're stock. I didn't see them in the brochure either. When we were ordering the salesman flipped his laptop around and showed me about 8 different 17" and 18" wheels that I could pick from, only 2 or so I recognized. I ended up with 17s, but I was a little surprised I could order 18"s without getting the platinum suspension too.

I hear you about the snow. It's been terrible all year here too. The Colorado River snowpack is only at about 50-70% of average. You better get ready for some empty swimming pools down your way this summer.
