what cities in Romania are you guys from? I myself am from Bocsa, a small town of about 20,000 in judetul (county) Caras-Severin.. about 20 km from Resita (a bigger city) and 85 km from Timisoara.

I came to the US about 4 1/2 years ago, in 2002, at the age of 12 or so.. Also, I know some ppl that own Audi's and they live in Romania, but they're not on these forums..

anybody have any pics from there?

I was born in Iasi, lived in bucuresti and then Austria for a few years before coming to NY and then here in Georgia. I always went to Romania in the summer... before I got a few mortgage payments to take care of. Last time I was there was in '04. I miss it...

Are there Audi meets over there in Bucharest? With the amount of Audi's in Bucharest you'd think so but I have second thoughts. People over there are more preoccupied with day to day stuff than meet other Audi fans.

When I visit Bucharest (yearly) I so wish my car was there - but with all the traffic and New York style potholes I realize a week there would equal - 2-3 months of driving in Austin

Second generation- Grandparents are Romanian. My grandmother was born in Romania, grandfather was born in US, but moved back to Romania when he was in his teenage years. They are from the same village- Brasov.

That is so funny. It cracks me up.
Brasov is not a village but the second largest city in Romania (or it used to be 10 years ago when I left Romania). It also happens to have beautiful medieval and historic neighborhood - a must see. A jewel if you asked me and also one of the best places to ski in Romania. I love that part of the country. It's also close to where Dracula's castle is.

Anyway - if I were you I'd go visit it one day. That country is full of contrasts.
