Custom intake manifold. I can assure you that it is 100% custom. Oh...and I have pics of the building of my exhaust manifold as well...for those who say its a "knockoff".

Looks sweet! Now if we could just get someone to manufacture one of these!! Mike is the one thats "coming out" going to be small port or match up to the AEB head only?

EDIT** I would love a new body to my intake mani so the meth is more evenly distributed through the cylinders!!!

That you would have to talk with Issam(Wizard-of-OD) or Javad since it will most likely be sold thru 034 motorsport. I do know that the one I have is for a AEB head and uses a big VR6 throttle body. I am sure they will end up making them for the stock TB's and maybe even for the small port heads. It has been flow tested and we are just waiting for my car to go back on the dyno to see what type of results we get with the IM installed.

    Re: The Insanity continues.....

Original would be if he was the first to ever build an intake manifold like this but sadly he is not.
Matrix Integrated was the first back in 2001 followed by Dahlback racing and then TS Racing...and the list just goes on and on with each fabricator perfecting on the other design.
Does this manifold look great?YES...I absolutely love it as it almost looks cast. Was Adam the first to do it?No..considering there is one just like it but the plenum is indeed cast and the throttle body exits from the centre, not off to the side.

There is only so much you can do with a manifold design.Regardless its a pretty decent manifold and I do expect it to flow better than stock.

Both really as 034 uses the stock lower intake manifold. But then the question remains....if these are made who will buy them?I dont want a repeat scenario of the turbo manifolds .If these manifolds are to be built a 50% downpayment will be required and that downpayment will be non refundable.

If you are talking about the one in the picture above, you might want to ask a price before you are willing to buy. Just look at what is used to make the manifold and start adding up the cost.

If an aftermarket mani can yield close to what the APR manifold saw on the transverse 3+ kits (around 20-30hp) Id be down, guessing they would fall in the 800-1k range if they were somewhat "custom"

TighTT. You are going to be upgrading the stock fuel system correct? It looks severly out of place with all those high dollar/high hp producing parts you have under the hood.

007 is the best flowing IM out there on the market right now and has shown 30 hp gain on the transverse. the longitudal hasnt been released yet. still waiting and its only 900 as im sure others will be 1k+. he just started this thread bc of the high intrest in this build and well yours is old but yet still highly respected. understand there will always be somethin better out there at some point in time.

    Meaning what? Fuel rail?

We are already running an upgraded fuel pump. We are upgrading the fuel lines and moving them to the drivers side of the bay (away from heat). At the moment, there are 630cc injectors installed...those are being replaced as well.

Yeah, I guess I didn't specify. The fuel rail mainly, from what I understand that's the bottleneck of the A4's fuel system

LOL, that picture of my engine bay is like 3 years old. Maybe you should catch up with the times buddy.

Picture of my car last year and yes that is the "proto type" of the coil cover from 034 seeing that I was the first to get one.

My car is a race car so you expect it to look stock inside the car? Everything on the inside of my car has a actual function when it comes to racing and isn't there to look good.

BTW I said it looked to be a knock off that someone else has been selling, but I guess you cant move on can you.

Yes it is. Which is why it would be a waste of time to replace the fuel lines(only need to upgrade the feed line anyway) without upgrading the fuel rail too.
