I swear this was the first B7 avant I ever saw during a trip to NYC years ago. I saw it in the street with just the rear hatch glass popped and thought all B7 avants were like that. I was bummed to find out it wasn't so.
What a way to take every bit of usefulness away from an Avant.
I used to know a kid who would "pimp-my-ride" his cars, doing up an over-done sound system with the whole trunk fiberglassed into some odd shape with 18 different speakers and 6 tv monitors. Good way to make a car pointless and un-usable, but sadly enough great for dumb car shows
I have my next car picked out, just need to sell the Avant first. Pics in the thread linked above and many, many more in the link in my signature below.
HAAAA haaaahhha, lol. Actually, It's a little funny, but pretty awesome. Looks like some fairly good work, ....I would sell the stereo, put the interior back to "stock' and daily drive the hell out of that.
Imagine how bad your dog would wreck the rear hatch going in and out though...
I'm looking for some stock (sport or regular) springs and shocks for a B6/B7 2.0T avant. I bought the car lowered about 1.5" and am looking for a little more space so I don't plow the snow in the mountains.
Alternatively, has anyone put sedan springs on an avant successfully? I'd assume it'd ride lower and softer because of the extra Avant weight, but are there going to be other problems?
You'll have saggy butt syndrome if you put sedan springs on. The front will ride higher than the rear giving it reverse rake. I say plow the snow - nothing wrong with that.

You'll definitely have reverse rake if you use sedan springs on an Avant. I did on my car for a year and couldn't stand the difference. That's one of the main reasons I switched to coilovers.
I assume the neuspeed's 1.2" drop is from non-sport stock, which doesn't seem like it would raise it enough to be worth switching so maybe I'll keep plowing when I have to.
Thanks for the help, and in the meantime, if anyone's got avant springs, let me know.
Yeah I was worried the rear would be enough heavier for that to happen, but since sedan springs are way more common, I figured I'd ask.

I was lowered on H&R (F) springs and Neuspeed Avant Sports in the (R). Def helped with that reverse rake/rear sag. But removed when I got a killer deal on a set of Sportec Coils
I have some stock B7 S4 Avant springs. If you're interested PM me

Thanks, I'm still on edge about selling it. Trying to find a B7 S4 avant 6speed but it's been a horrible uphill battle trying to locate one. I have a few people trying to buy it this upcoming weekend but I don't want to let it go until I find a car that I want
Car runs great, looks even better just can't keep up with the $500-600 a month in fuel for it when I drive so much! So I hate to do it but I have to give her up.

Tell me about it. That's one of the main reasons I sold my S4 for an A4. Running costs for the V8 rack up when you drive a lot. Not to mention the inevitable timing job that will eventually come up (although, yours is an '05 so you're much better off than 2004 models). Good luck with your sale. Your car was already amazing, and with everything you've put into it, you should have no trouble selling it. You've listed it for one hell of a price and I would have imagined much more for what you have.
So I've got an RNS-E for sale and a mix-matched set of S4 Recaro's if anybody is interested.
