Just ordered a LM-1 with RPM reader from Innovate Motorsports. I want to do this thing right the first time and know what the engine is doing. Plus, it was needed for the 034 2c standalone .
Procrastination like Masturbation...at the end, you're just screwing yourself.
After a few issues were resolved, we were able to drive the car last night. Drives great as before, but the motor feels alot stronger. I haven't built and boost(Bob says no more than 5psi for 500miles) but just barely pressing the gas, she's wanting to go! My wife is about to come out of her skin, she so excited that it's back on the road. She's been driving all over town to build up milage.
Once we get some miles, we'll be setting up the 034 IIc standalone on it. Then we'll start tuning.

are you doing the tunning? street or dyno?
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

A. You can't pass OBDII emissions inspection with it
B. You have to spend extra money getting it tuned right (Dyno time and a tuner if required)
(Big deal for me)
C. No more cruise control!!! hahaha
Cruise control will still work with original DBC cars. Cars with DBW it will not work.
As far as driving around with no boost...this is what Bob from QED asking me to do, and I'm going to follow his directions.
Bob from QED THANKS for the motor, parts, tech and all weekend help over the phone.
FWIW, every new Porsche engine is run up to temperature and then runs full throttle to redline as part of it's readiness testing. Every one of them is run wide open the day it is born. Maybe Porsche knows what it's doing, maybe not. They seem to do pretty well.

We cannot achieve the future by being timid. It requires aggressive imagination.
I have a LM-1 to make sure I'm not running lean/rich. I am running the MIKA tune from ATP right now. Once the car hits 500miles, I'll pull the wiring off and install the standalone. Then I'll get to see what she has.
I hope we'll be able to gain a good bit over 300awhp with this new set up. Anything over 450awhp for a daily I'll be happy with.
I'm thinking I'll have to upgrade some external items to hit that. We'll see.
Mike,
What 034 setup are you using? How are you liking it?
What is B.A.T. +?

I am concerned about the tuning at this point. 5 psi is more than enough to break in the rings.
Good luck Mike and keep me posted
Yeah thats what I thought.
Side-step, I am running the IIc with stock ATW(hitachi/beru) coils.
Been using it for a few years now and it is great. Making changes is very easy and when you make changes you can save it to a lap top. If you dont like the changes you just load the other file back in as long as you saved it before you made any changes.
bat is big ass turbo....we needed a classification for anything larger than the average run-of-the-mill t28's, 28R's, and 28RS'. It also implies built internals or at least aftermarket rods.

Correct. Most of the "B.A.T" setups are all custom so they dont really fall under the "BT" class.
GT30 or larger
Built engine(well a stock one sure isn't going to last very long)
I printed out the 52 pages off of 034's site to read and understand. Is there anything that is tricky with the program?
By the way,Mike, what is the specs of your motor?
Also, the coil connectors didn't have the weather boots on them, did you add yours from the stock harness?
100 miles down...400 miles to go
I'm having a problem getting the exhaust v-band to seal up. I bought a brand new one, but it is still leaking where the band has a space. Never had a issue before.
Anyone else have this issue?

AEB crank and 83.5mm bore
The program with the 034 stand alone is pretty straight forward. Have you talked to javad about getting a base map that would be close to fit with your motor and turbo setup?
034 did the install of my stand alone, but IIRC they did put the weather boots back on my coil connectors when they made the new coil harness.
The 2 V-bands might not be lining up when you put the V-band clamp on them. Have you tried turning one a little to see if it seats a little better.
Car is running pretty good. Still waiting on the 630 tune from Unitronics. Would like to upgrade the ATP ex mani, intercooler and charge piping.
More time and money.

and btw, even with the correct programming, bob said 5psi for my break in as well

Im sorry if I missed it but what manifold are you running now?

+ for those that are pushing 30+psi
Funny that BT for some are just small turbos for others and BAT for others are what some have been riding around daily for years.....
There's also people with vw's with 42RS's hanging on the side that dont post much

Running the ATP's that comes with the GT28rs kit. It does the deal, but just hard to get to all the nuts to tight them up.
I want to get the tubular style mani that Bob sells.
Off this subject. Boost is right off idle. I'll can cruise through the neighborhood with out boosting, but have to be easy on the throttle. Spools easy.
