Went to Bear Mtn yesterday. Stayed at a friends house in San Jacinto/Hemet area. Was probably only as cold as 30 degrees during the evening. I know when we got up around 6am, it was around 35 degrees. Nothing that was loaded in the trunk was even close to touching the hatch window. I didn't have any frost or dew (just exhaust dust) on my window, so I never hit the defrost button. For the most part, it was just butt cold.
So we're driving north on Sanderson and POP! Me and my buddy look at each other like...WTF?
The rear window just shatters for no apparent reason. Here are pics.
So.... there is obviously something that caused this.
Judging by the pattern of how it shattered. Everything APPEARS to come back to the point of my windshield wiper plug.
How on earth would that affect anything though?
I seriously hope Audi can cover this. How funny is that I just posted up a thread in the chatter box glorifying Audi Miramar... let's see if they can pull through on this one.
