Overhead light console wire routing

I've found this article about a Bluetooth car kit installation:

I would like to mount my microphone in the same spot.
Any idea how the wire can be routed cleanly down to the radio area from there?

Everyone I know has given up on that wire and run a new one down the passenger side A pillar.
