As if Bimmers are any more reliable
My 2009 335i is in the shop with a fuel pump failure (which I understand is happening to 40%+ of 335i owners).

BMW just extended a 10-yr warranty for the fuel pump, but my technical advisor said they won't issue a recall b/c BMW is having trouble diagnosing the problem. He said in certain circumstances they are replacing the fuel pumps, spark plugs and changing software and
still can't pinpoint the problem on these cars. Good news is they have FINALLY switched their fuel pump supplier. I don't follow 1-addicts, but I'm guessing you guys are having the same
problems?
At least when one high maintenance German sedan is in the shop, I have the other one to drive (unless that other one is in the shop too, in which case it's a Honda Accord loaner

).
