As some of you may know i do have a couple of vw's, one of them that has over 500whp at the front wheel at full boost and the other that's the current BF! 12v turbo kit test mule. These cars are uber fun to drive, but they do have two weakpoints, the fact that they're WWD (wrong wheel drive ) as the DSM community calls them and their transmissions . Well, my 16v's transmission took a dump while i taking a very close friend of mine for a spin, he also happens to be the person who runs the now famous VW show and go. Roll through first and second, then slowly put it into third and full throttle it, boost comes in hard and gives some crazy torque steer, i wrestled a bit with the steering wheel and then nothing, no more gear

Indeed, quattro does indeed rule. We're also waiting on Wizza's rods, I've ordered them over 4 months ago and still nothing and a big crank like his will need the longer 159mm rods to help with the rod ratio and side load on the piston

That was me,I am putting it in .pdf format.That way people can refer to it as a manual instead of a "thread with pics".Paul did the 2.0 20V using the 220mm block.I am doing the 2.2 20V using the 236mm block.
Just waiting on more parts to come in from BF like the turbo,WG,etc etc...
p.s. just so you all know,BF has has about 7 sets of SCAT rods in stock if you need.
Yes, the car ran 13.4@10psi of boost, that's what the WG was set to. It's sporting an EBC now so i'll hook up the laptop one of these days and put the boost up until it starts pulling timing and set it there for pump gas. This is done via the BF! SMIC, no FMIC.

WG spring only usually means boost spike and boost creep at some point. So 10psi doesn't always mean "10psi". Pretty good time for such a low boost level.

It was 10psi, I know you like to argue but you can call autometer and argue with them.
