please dont tell me that spec clutch is an ebay one. Those are terrible. Do it right the first time and get an ACT clutch. I learned once not to buy a cheap clutch...or anything that is hard to change out.

yep, wtf? Same here? I thought OBD1 ABA crank + AEB Block = 9a IM???
Unless his custom pistons/rods make up for that.
Maybe that was only if you planned to use the stock pistons. Damn, need to search again.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

hopefully next winter my car will be parked for this exact same thing. and i mean exact, it's kinda wierd actually

This is my car/project Ian. I'd rather finish this quick so we can finish Ricky's corrado too, the guy's just too lazy to put together some wires lol
i know rick hes in the same car club as me i just bought a forged 2.0 crank from him and i have to give him money for the rods and pistons i am also doing a big turbo aeb 1.8

Is that ATP manifold? did you have the wastegate tube welded to it?
Not sure about that John, I've used the 1.8 16v Intermediate shaft which is the same as an AEB on 2L bubble blocks and cylinder number 4's rod hit the oil pump drive gear. I will test them both and post pics soon.
You will need to shave the walls on the inside of the block to make the 92.8mm crank with Scat rods work. Cyl #1 has to be shaved the most, then shave the inner reinforcement of #3 and the lower reinforcement of #3. No need to shave the wall on 4th cyl wall but the piston will hit the oil squirter. Answer: Run a copper shim to move the squirter up so it'll clear the piston squirt.
I will post pics soon, digi cam ran out of batteries

Yup, he picked up those rods about two weeks ago, it was my last set but i just got another shipment
What brand and size turbo is that? Is that one from ebay? Also, what wastegate are you using and who made that intake manifold? Its interesting, and im interested in knowing!

The turbo is a Genuine Garrett GT3082R aka GT30/40R with a T04S Anti-surge housing
Wastegate is a Tial 38mm and the manifold is a cast unit pretty similar to ATP's but without the fitting issues. Intake manifold will be stock for now, perhaps just an 0bd2 VR6 TB.
New info: The 4th rod will hit the 1.8 intermediate shaft but won't hit the 2liter intermediate shaft. I will post pics as soon as i get them hosted.
Problem#2, the 4th rod will not hit the 2L 16v Intermediate shaft, however, the 2L 16v oil pump drive gear will not fit in the specific bore. This will not be a problem for those using 2liter blocks that already have the bigger bore to accomudate the bigger Oil pump drive gear.
I also figured out where the bigger 92.8mm crank will hit the block and how much to shave off.
Pics will follow shortly
