brancky3 what software are you running? does it only allow you to rev to 6500? it seems like youre not using about 1000 RPMs of the power band with that big gt2871. my gt28r pulls all the to 7200

The rev limit is at 6800, but the tach seems to lag a little because if I let it rev any longer than 6500 like in the videos it will hit a brick wall.

I really need to get the limit raised, it will be a huge difference I think.

Software is a tweak of a GIAC k04 file IIRC.

hmmm...all my GIAC files run to 7100rpms.

I plan on running this chip, I'm not changing it any time soon. Right now we are waiting on a response from GIAC to change the rev limit, so we'll see what happens.

Yea GIAC advertises a 7100rpm limit everywhere, but for some reason mine only goes to 6800. Weird and frustrating.

who tuned that K04 software for you ? also are you running a full GT kit or is it a elimator kit ?

Vastperformance tuned the software and it's an elim kit.

It went 13.0 @ 107.2mph on my first initial tune and stock fuel pump, kinda effed up the shift to second too (I hate to make excuses but it's true). I need to make it back to the track before it starts snowing.

sorry for all the questions I am running a PES T28 kit right now and I am thinking of going for more power still haha

no dyno sheets, hopefully soon though, that was 2 turbos ago, it spools late in first and 2nd gear, prolly 4800 or so, but once it finally has some load on i, it would make 13lbs at around 3500 rpm, but that was also a pretty small exhaust housing which helped

First and second maybe 4200rpm, 3rd-5th is around 3800.

Brancky, do you think it'll be possible to run 2871r on pc-16 file with 440cc injectors. I see you have a k04 file tweaked a little.

is that because of your software? or are you talking about you don't see full boost until 4200rpm? i've seen 71r eliminators that start to spool around 3200rpm

Mine starts to spool before 3k, but the RPM's I posted is when it hits 23psi.

There already is a specific file made for those injectors. To try and make pc-16 work on a 2871 just to save $400 is foolish
