March 26th Dyno Day

[Audi convert]

I thought I would start it's own thread for this event.
It will be at www.extrememotorsports.com

The dyno day typically begins at 9:00am and runs until 6:00pm with a 1-hour lunch break from 12:30pm-1:30pm. The cost includes the dyno rental, color dyno printouts, and a technician to operate the dyno and to strap down the vehicles.

AUDI CONVERT: How many pulls do we get each?

Each car will get 3 pulls. If you are running standalone or a piggyback system you can tune in the 3 runs. Make sure to bring extra money for food or what ever might come up. The coast will be $70 each car if we get 10 cars to show up, and it looks like we will have more then 10. It should be a really fun day.

Its $70 if only 10 cars come if more then 10 cars come it will be less. $70 is not that much when it would be $105-$140 if its just you. I think saving $35 at minimum and seeing some nice cars and hanging out is worth it.

so how many people do we have for this? cheaper the better - also, doug, i know u want to use my car as a baseline - but i think i may just have to put in the k&n as soon as i get it from ben...its gonna skew the dyno numbers by +80hp - is that ok?

haha, rich if you want, do the first run with stock filter, and do the second with the K&N in.

It runs pretty good right now. Especially compared to when I had my stock cat on it hahahah... That was horrible.

When I get the FMIC and exhaust, hopefully it will be like throwing in a new turbo all over again ahhahah.


I am as sleeper as they come. I don't even have tint! My car is super quiet... All you hear the turbo spool...

I was not Kidding my friend has fmic, exhaust and everything for a b5 sitting around he killed his car. Im running my setup on a b5 I really want to see what it can do compared to the gtrs and gt2871r like yours. So sunday will be a lot of fun. Let me know if you would want anything I can see what he will do for you.

Are you TIP? How long have you been running that turbo setup?

Do you have all the supporting mods (fmic, exhaust, etc..)

Im manual and I have all the supporting mods on my car. I ran a 13.7 last weekend at the track so I hoping to put down some good numbers and see why Im losing power up top. I hope we have a good turn out to see some good cars and also I dont want to be out all this money.

March 26 its a sunday. Extreme motorsports will be open at 9 in the morning. The more cars that come and dyno the less it will be. As of right now Im saying $70 at max with print outs of each run with you getting three pulls. You can do any tune you want in the 3 pulls. I know of 10 car for sure and 4 maybes so hoping to get the price to $50. You can buy race gas from Extreme and I will bring my lap top so we can vag cars. if people want we can cook out if you guys bring the food.

I'll be there. I'll shoot over there earlier in the morning too, so that I can do my drive with some other buddies later on.

now that I know that I won't be the guy with the highest output (thanks dom, I didn't need that pressure!) I can roll in and do my thing!

I dyno'd month ago on dynopack 260 whp and 26x wtq. With a boost leak I believe.

2 more days it cant come soon enough. Im going to try and get to Extreme at like 8:30-8:45 and like 7 or 8 of us are all going to role in together. I talked to Extreme today they will have race gas and nitrous if you need it. I also am bring my vag and if you guys can think of anything more that we would need then let me know.

I got the car towed and they put the axel back on. One of the bolts broke and the others are little roughed up, but it is running. I am however short one bolt.

I plan on buying a whole new set.


I also removed by stock airbox and installed a new maf today.

The audi guys didn't come out in full force, which was a dissappointment.

We probably had 20 cars dyno.

The B6 S4 PUT DOWN 278 awhp.

The car sounded SWEEEEEEETTTT.

plus, I think the solution to my problem has been found. I have a faulty injector and a bad o2 sensor. this explains the high A/F and the low HP numbers!

however, doing 255lb_ft of torque on 3 cylinders isn't THAT bad!

I've been logging up a storm and sending them to moss and the guys up in PA.

I'm getting a code for an 'open circuit' on injector 4. so they're going to send me some new pieces and then I'm going to try again.

this is a good middle-ground before I go with an even bigger turbo. [;)]


and doug, yes, the wheels are wobbly in the back due to my 10mm spacers. I already ordered some 8mm ones, and I'll put them on whenever they come in.
