Duhvinci's "dark side"

Since my A4 is still in the very "project" stage (and this is my 13th Audi) - bunch of parts awating the warm weather install, I'll share my other, "dark" side car...

Ever since I was a kid, I wanted a little Mercedes 190... I've seen one in Moscow when I was 8 or 9 years old, it was tuned by Carlsson, so the secret affair began.

Few years ago, I finally found unmolested, low miles car, and in about a year, it slowly transformed into this:

I started with an upgrades to e-code head lights and e-code true orange corners

Stock grill was decromed, front emblem welded shot, then powdercoated black and custom hand laid enamel modified flat badge emblem replaced the "target star"

Rear was debadged, center star was blacked out and e-code Hella tails replaced stock units:

My first suspension/wheel/tire set consisted from 17" Enkei MM2, Bilstein Sports FK springs:

I modified stock Enkei center caps to adopt factory MB caps:

Then came along H&R springs and 18" Fliks:

At this point I turned to the sound system and here is the basic layout:

Custom made trim to accept this units:

Trunk was fully carpeted to ensure there is the match at all sides:

The spare tire is still intact, false floor is lifting up (since everything is made in sections)

Inside of every enclosure is hand laid CF

I ended up not using the box, and opted for a free air subs in the rear deck:

Body upgrades... After almost a year, I scored a full kit set from 16V model, its kinda like getting full B5 S4 kit, but 20X harder!!!

Kit is rather extensive, and about 20+ pieces:

The last addition to the car was very rare 3 piece "Duck tail" spoiler made by AMG, a friend sent it to me from Germany. It is not to everyone's taste, but I always wanted one, and I think it compliments the kit rather well:

There will be some small changes/ugrades to the interior this spring, but thats pretty much where the car is and where I wanted it to be.

Tails - to be honest with you, I've been looking for all red for some time now, they should be a nice contrast, kinda like the front e-code ambers, but not willing to spend too much money on them, and stock US units were just blah... So some day =)

The older I get, the more I appreciate the past. Very well done. My thoughts on the rear wing is that its way too heavy looking. It's a bit too chunky. Ive never been a fan of blacked out rear taillamps but those look great! Finally, would it have been possible to hide the muffler some more???

DUHVINCI - I remember you from 190revolution!! I used to be on that forum all the time before my tranny blew and decided to part ways with the 190 for the A4.. Always loved your car. What was your handle on 190rev again?? I'll try to post some pics of my 190 when I get home.
