Can anyone help me- I inherited a Milltek system on my new RS5- how can I find out which system is fitted- what's the difference with having a resonated versus non-resonated and what do you achieve by mixing. As you can probably tell I was missing during exhaust 101!!
Thanks guys

Milltek's have small plates with serial numbers on them. If can get the number, send an e-mail to Milltek and they will confirm for you what model it is etc. Otherwise, you should be able to tell just by looking at it. Do you see the little valves in the exhaust tips? Take a pic and post it here...im sure some will chime in then.

The resonators are two tube looking devices on the down pipes in front of the first muffler in the center of the car. The stock resonators can be seen at the extreme right edge of this picture. Picture take from right side of car looking somewhat forward. Hope this helps?

Milltek has 3 different version of their exhaust for the RS5. The resonated version is the quietest of the 3 systems, here is a picture of the resonated system:

The second system removes the mid resonator (pictured on the left) with straight pipes. The loudest system removes the resonators in the down pipes so it is straight pipes all the way back to the rear resonators. This is my favorite system as with the exhaust valves closed the sound level is just about the same as the stock system with the valves open but when you open the valves on the Milltek systems it sounds amazing!
