I bought this a4 and the check engine light is on because of a emission leaks. At least that was what the guy at autozone told me. I thought it was my gas tank lid but it was not. I check under the hood and found this tube. It got cut off and just hanging there. I couldnot figure out what it was and where it was supposed to be connected too. Please help.

It goes to the evap purge valve wich is under the manifold comes from the passenger underneath wheel well cover. If you remove the air box you will see where it goes.

I dont see any for emission there. if anyone have time please take a picture of there car and show it to me please. I know it is alot to ask but it is better asked and get no reply than never ask. I just had to purchase that tube that was cut in your pic. I had a EVAP Large Leak code staring me in the face for several months and finally found the tube which was torn immediately behind the front passenger tire. Anyways, the tubing cost me like $130 at the stealership. It snakes from where it connects up to that soft hose in your picture, down and out of the engine bay into the fender, and around the wheel liner behind the wheel and connects up to a hard pipe that goes back to the gas tank. If you unscrew the fasteners on the backside of that wheel liner you should see the tubing, at least where it's supposed to be anyways.
