hey i was just wondering what the specs are on the a6 4.2 rims
the 5 spoke chrome ones?
whats the bolt pattern, how wide are they, and whats the offset

They're 17x8 for sure w/ 5x112 bolt pattern, same as the A4 and A8. I believe they're a 35mm offset.

i thought the forged 5 spokes were a higher offset than 35...?

Confirmed that the 5 spokes are 35mm offset. Foo, you may be thinking of the stock RS6 wheels in 18s or the optional RS6 wheels in 19s.
I was looking at a set of RS6 knock-offs in 18's but the offset is 30mm. Does that mean I'll need a 5mm spacer to get the correct wheel depth and where's the cheapest place to get ahold of one of these? Thanks.

Just need to make sure that the wheels clear the front brake calipers.
30mm offset would actually look nice as it would fill up the wheel wells.
On my 18x8 Oettinger RZs, 35mm offset, w/ 255/35-18 PZero Neros, I run 15mm spacers on all four corners. Really pushes the wheels out to the fender line and looks very aggressive from behind.
Check out www.achtuning.com and www.hartmannwheels.com for quality aftermarket RS6 replicas.
It would sit back 5mm further from the face of my OEM 35mm wheels, right?
So, you have a 35mm offset wheel plus a 15mm spacer? Doesn't that make them stick out pretty good?
