Ive seen the new 3.2 S-Line A6's have fully painted rear bumpers, but what about the C5? I just bought a rear 'valance' for the 02-04 4.2 with the exhaust tip cutouts, and am going to have it grafted (plastic welded) on.
Has anyone ever seen it painted instead of that dark grey?? Any thoughts??

I think it looks pretty good painted. So you just bought the gray part, without the bumper? That's I want to do (I have one cutout). Where did you get it, and how much will it be to get it grafted?

Well, LL Tek has one, but they want too much for it. I just bought a 2002 cutout for a A6 3.0 (with exhaust cutouts, the 2002-04 part is rivited on and replacable). Ill roto-zip the current one out, have a friend plastic weld the new one in, and have a bodyshop fill in any rough spots, sand it, and paint it.
A co-worker of mine backed into me a few months ago, so he's going to cover most of the paint cost. [:D] The cut-out should be here this week, I just need to find time to pick it up.

The valance arrived on friday (along with my Eibach Sports). What kind of aftermarket tips are you guys running, and what size?
