Does it come stock with a FMIC? I've always loved the exterior, but I agree that interior is not the greatest. Reminds me of GM products.

Did you buy it that way? Any mods?

FMIC stock: yes

GM: Now owns Saab

Yep, bought it like it is, except for the boost guage (put it in yesterday), the turbo silencer removal, and the BOV.

The interior is actually really comfortable, even though it may not look like it. [:)]

That interior is like sitting in a mental institution.

I am not sure it's possible for that interior to be anymore bland.

does it have a MBC? or is it chipped...the 99 9-3's are still a T5, so even if you were at high elevation it wouldn't compensate with higher boost like the newer T7 cars.
Many of the T5 SAAB guys run a MBC because there is no MAP sensor.

and that FMIC actually looks to be the swapped to the Viggen unit, but I may be wrong. did the previous owner make that delivery pipe??

No MBC, but the stock boost controller (yes, stock) is ziptied around the intake tube to the turbo (modified possibly?).

Yea the t5 allows for a blowoff without effing the fuel management too. [cool]

stock FMIC (in & out ports on the same side) - viggen has one on each. The person before me definitely did something (s - ?) to it, but I don't know for sure what..
