I was stationed in Bavaria for about 5 yrs, in Ansbach, about 45 minutes southwest of Nurnberg. Now I'm about 6 hours away in western Belgium, for the next 3 yrs, but I still go down there from time to time to visit friends. I have an '01 black S4.

Totally forgot about this thread! lol. And my being a d-bag is just part of my charm! :P S4 is STILL down... The garage finally had to admit fault (experts from UK, Germany, and Belgium all looked at it and backed me), and their insurance adjuster looked at it last week, and hopefully they're tallying it all up, and are ready to payout soon...

In Vilseck? Yuck... At least you'll have Grafenwoehr next door. Maybe I'll see you around once in a while, as that's where all schools, like HazMat, Logistics, SAMMS, etc. are held for USAREUR.

Did you have any trouble brining your car over? Im worried that they won't let my car through because of the tinted windows.

Nah, I was in Ansbach, which is about 1.5 hrs away, but now I'm in Belgium, so I just go there for schools.

As for getting the car over, that's no big deal, but when you get it inspected, I'd suggest rolling the windows down before going in, and pull your power window fuse, so they can't see it... Just give em a bs line about how you have an appointment for it or somethin... They don't really care... And you may have to pull it off if the polizei give you crap about it... That's just my .02... I know the window fuse thing has worked before.

Bringing my S4 over to Munich (should be arriving mid Jan '12). A little worried with TUV inspection given my mods. Give me a hollar if you're around my area. If anyone can recommend a legit mechanic, that would be appreciated too!
