I am thinking of buying a 1990 100 quattro with about 100k miles, my main concern IS, I live in LA, California, the car is here, but is originally from Maryland, and has never been registered in CA. Wondering if anyone knows if Audi sold this model in the USA that DID NOT meet CA emissions? Appreciate any help.

Audi 100 quattros first year in the US was 1990 (fwd 100's in 1989, 1st year for the longer wheelbased auto). Good cars, usual audi/vw problems (cheap locks and window motors). It should pass smog fine and run for a good long time if maintained well.
Personally, its not a favorite of mine. You should be able to find a better bargain out there than a car from the east coast. I prefer a 90 quattro of the same era. The 2.8 litre v6 is a very reliable car and easier to find than the more sought after inline-5 cylinder.
