View Full Version : Part out feeler...

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I haven't been on AZ in a long time...just too busy with work these days it seems.

Anyway, the time has come to part with my B6 S4 after almost 6 years of ownership. :( Rather then try to sell it as a complete package, I've decided that I'd rather just part it out and trade it in for my next car, to make the process easier. Here's a list of what I've got, and what's available. PM me if you're interested in any of the parts.

p.s. If you plan to PM me some ridiculously low-balled offer, please save your time. I'm not letting anything go for less then what it's worth. Instead of selling super cheap, I'd just as soon keep the parts in case I ever get another B6.

If anyone wants to make me an offer on the entire car, as is, feel free. It's got 93k miles, and physically is in perfect condition.

Exterior:
Oettinger front bumper
Oettinger side skirts
OEM E-Codes (not b-xenon)
Oettinger grill
BRAND SPANKING NEW NEVER INSTALLED ABT adjustable coilovers. $1100 + your stock suspension. (be in S Florida or ready to ship).

Interior:
OEM RS4 steering wheel with airbag (re-wired so no airbag fault) - must include your factory wheel sport wheel (not multi-function) with trade
Kenwood DNX-8120 double din with nav, bluetoof and all the good stuff
LI-S4 intergrated V1 conceiled display (just below the cluster)

Engine:
Champion Motorsport DP's and full exhaust. $250...including your stock exhaust and pay the labor to swap, must be in South Florida.

Anyway, there's probably some more but I forget at this point. Here's a couple pictures. Oh..and before anyone asks...the wheels are NOT for sale. Keeping those ;)

^^^ Live a little man*, could have been taken by someone in the passenger seat. Open roads no traffic, MEXICO. Your posts suck, maybe you should drive a Corolla if you're worried about that shit, you're in the wrong car.

* Not everyone does it in traffic like I have seen in the chatterbox, so relax.

Yeah, I should edit that. A Corolla will go 90, so crabpot should be in a Smart car. No worries about going 90.

Op could have been on a track for all we know, no need for crabpot to shit on one picture.

OP, Car looks great!

How did you wire the steering wheel so you wouldn't get a fault/airbag light? Did you have a B7 control module and s/c ring?

I basically took the factory airbag harness from my 3 spoke sport wheel and the factory harness from an A8...gave them to a friend who studied the wiring diagrams for both cars....did some soldering and wiring, and voila....it works. :)

Guys...if you PM'ed me and I didn't answer, I'm sorry....I literally had about 50 PM's this morning!! <--Did not expect that!

The best thing to do would be post up here in the thread. Also...if you want something, just make an offer here. Chances are I won't be able to reply to every PM :(

Dub, could you post a picture of the RS4 wheel? I'm in FL and have a 3 spoke S4 wheel in excellent condition. You want to just do a straight trade?

I'll try to take a picture of the wheel today.

NOOOO......no straight trade..lol. I paid about $1200 for this wheel and airbag together.....I'd want cash + the trade.

I'm driving thru Orlando early Thursday morning, if you want to check it out. I don't have much time though, it would have to be quick...

Is this a Euro RS4 wheel? If so then i could understand the $1200 price tag but US RS4 wheels are in the classifieds all day for ~ $350 - $400. What kind of cash would you want on top?

Sounds good. Im interested in your e-codes. Are they in good shape? (not many rock chips and stuff) I don't really know the going price for these and in not trying to low ball ya so what are you looking for ball park? Thanks.

Honestly Dave, they're not that great. They are 5 years old after all, so there's typical pitting and rock chips, and some minor "cloudiness"....but I don't want much for them. Maybe $200 or so. They're not bi-xenon either...keep in mind.

When I come back from Georgia I will try to take some better detailed pictures....that'll be next week.

what do you have left?

dubaudi
06-17-2011, 12:56 PM
OK guys...sorry I haven't been on here in a while. Things got REALLY hectic for me the past couple weeks and I just couldn't pay much attention to the car.

SO...I've spoken to cam and the coils are his. We've arranged swapping the coils and his stock stuff, so they're gone.

Last weekend I took the sideskirts and front bumper off the car. I DO NOT want to split these up. I'm sorry 7Speed...I know you only want the front, but I would much rather sell them as a pair. The front bumper came off no problem, but I accidentally pulled one of the mounting pins out on one side. (You know, where the 3 nuts attach the bumper to the fender). Regardless, it's an easy fix. Other then that, the bumper is fine. I also have A4 fog lights, and A4 washer caps, which anyone will need in order to run this bumper on an S4. If you have an A4, then your lights and caps will work fine. The sideskirts are fine. The only issue I ever have with those is that the two front covers for the jack-points never fit securely (from day 1), so I usually just take the lazy route and use a piece of black Gorilla tape to hold them in place from the underside. I'm sure a body shop or someone more motivated could find a more permanent fix. I'd like to get $800 for the front and sides together.

Hopefully within the next few days I'll get the steering wheel out and have some pictures, as well as the e-codes.

If anyone with a B6 S4 wants to do a straight up trade of exhausts (mine for your stock), and you're in South Florida....let me know. Otherwise, I'm looking for a stock exhaust so any leads would be appreciated.
